It has been verified that the paytables on the $.25 PKM remain untouched. Also, all six
$1/$2/$5 machines between Keno and the door to Binion's have 9/5 TB+ and 8/5 BP.

AUG 2007

Fremont now has 10/6 DDB on the $1/$2/$5 machines between Keno and the
door to Binion's. The SF pays 239 at every denomination.

APR 2007

Slight corrections to inventory. No drastic changes discovered. Added listings for 9/7/5 DB.

Spin poker is MIA. I didn't find any, so asked a slot tech if they had them and she led me to the place where
they were previously and then said she thought they'd been removed. No vp at all in Penny Way.

(2) 50c 16/11 DDW near service bar/table games.

APR 2005

Just got back from downtown Las Vegas and have some updates for the database. Noticed that the Fremont has replaced many of their older machines with new IGT TITO models. The old 25c Pick 'Em's are still there by the bar but I couldn't find any of the old 25c Double Deuces Wild.

There are 8/5 Bonus Pokers everywhere including some new Super Times Pay and Spinpoker Deluxe. I found four upright Super Times Pay in 5c, 10c, 25c and 50c near the entrance to the Lanai Express. Nearby were four upright 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 25c and 50c Spinpoker Deluxe.

I also saw the 99.8% 9/5 version of Triple Bonus Plus in several machines. I counted two 50c TITO uprights between the service bar and tables games, four old 25c uprights near the keno lounge and six $1, $2 and $5 TITO slant-tops between the keno lounge and the door to Binion's.

DEC 2003

The combined slot card account for California, Fremont and Main Street Station is for cashback points only. Each casino still does their own comps and reward level ratings based on play in that casino, and doesn't give credit for play at one of the other casinos.

NOV 2003

I have the following observations from my recent play at MSS:

(1) All joint accounts have been split into individual accounts. My spouse and I now have cards with numbers different by one digit. We cannot get each other's cashback. And we are now getting separate mail offers.

(2) It now takes $1 coin-in to get a point. Slot club attendant told me this and I confirmed it on both the 25c FPDW right-hand uprights and the $1 double bonus slant-tops. Don't know if it is true for all video poker and all slot machines.

(3) 1000 points = $1 Cashback (.1%)

(4) We've been getting double points as we play since at least September 1st. Slot club attendant confirmed this.

(5) Slot club is giving out yet another new, different-looking card.

(6) Points from Fremont, MSS and the California appear to have been finally combined into one balance.

The standard rooms are very small. The king or 2 queen beds take up most of the floor space. The bathroom is about the size of a closet. But, hay, we don't go to Las Vegas to stay in the room. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. What more do we need.

Yes they do have suites. The last few times we stayed in the Fremont they put us up in a mini-suite. They are about the size of two standard rooms -- a living area with TV, couch, table, couple chairs, etc., the same bathroom mentioned above, and a standard size bedroom with another TV. Only one A/C services both rooms and it can hardly keep up in hot weather but shouldn't be a problem this time of year.

Personally I like the Fremont. We have stayed there so much we call it our home away from home. They have a fairly decent buffet (ask for a line pass) and a couple good restaurants -- Tony Roma's and Second St Grill.

I also like downtown where you can just stroll from one casino to another. Security is everywhere, we feel safer there than on the strip. I like the Fremont St Experience shows and the street entertainers. But most of all, I like gambling there. Their customers are definitely different from the strip. These are gamblers not families out on a "resort" vacation.

OCT 2003

Unlike some other places, Fremont starts your daily average play the hour you check in and closes when you check out.
You could be there 36 hours over a three day period but they would only count it as 1 1/2 days -- not 3 days.

AUG 2003

$1000 coin-in gets free weekday room offers - $2000 gets weekend offers.

JUL 2003

Room comp for $6,000 Coin-In/day. Limited RFB for $13,500 Coin-In/day. $500 coin-in gets
buffet for two (except for specialty dinners, which takes $2000 coin-in).
