LVRJ - For second time in six months, Gold Spike sold LVRJ - Gold Spike LV Owner plans overhaul of downtown property 'PlayLV' to run Plaza, Las Vegas Club, Gold Spike and Western GS has (2) 5c PE GameMaker uprights (FP) located near entrance to copper mine. Unlike the Plaza, the news I was given about the Gold Spike is correct. There are no more free rooms. The current offer is $61(total) for 3 nights Su-Th or $121 for a suite. Once you got on their list by winning a jackpot (I've been on for 10 years) you were on indefinately. Since they have no slot club, there was no way that they could track whether you played there or not. For someone who only wanted a free room with a good bed and a bathroom, it was a great deal but nothing lasts forever. If you've been waiting to receive the Winter Getaway offers at the Plaza, Las Vegas Club, and/or Gold Spike, don't hold your breath. Unless they change their marketing strategy, there are no plans tocontinue the offers under the new owners. At the Plaza you can still try to obtain a room thru a host (1-800-634-6575 X2425) Also, the Gold Cards for a free night at the Gold Spike are no longer accepted. |
