(1) $1 (100 Play) 9/6 JoB in high-limit area. The (free play - slot play) options have been removed from the $1 fifty play JOB machine. MB has quarter 15/9 NSU, 12/8 LDW,13/4/3/3 DWBP and 15/10 DDW. There are now (4) $100 9/6 multi game slant top machines in high limit. $1/$2/$5/$10 9/7 DB and 15/9 DW (98.9%) I checked out the high-limit room. The re-emergence of 9/6 Jacks which was supposed to occur in May has still not happened yet, with one exception: there is a single $100 (5-coin) 9/6 JoB machine. As far as 8/5 BP and 9/7 DB, there are (4) $1 (3/5/10-play) machines and (8) $5/$10 (3/5/10-play) machines. Everything else in high-limit is short pay. (1) $1/$2/$5 8/5 BP Spin Poker. Mandalay Bay has 2 machines with 9/7 DB, 8/5BP and 15/9 airport deuces. They are $5.00 three/five play and $1.00, 2.00, 5.00 Spin Poker. Mandalay Bay is no longer comping drinks for machine players at its bars. The coin in for 1 point is $10 for 25c VP, and 40 pts is $1. $10-coin-in = 1 point (5c machines); $7.50 coin-in = 1 point (25c machines); $15.00 coin-in = 1 point ($1 machines). This room is what I look for in Vegas. That's why we returned here this year. We've already decided to spend BOTH weekends at Mandalay next time. Big room with same amenities as Bellagio. However, the toilet is in a separate closet so one person can be getting ready while the other one needs privacy to take care of business. This is a great arrangement. These bathrooms have two sinks, a plus when traveling with someone. Their toiletries were Gilcrest & Holmes or something like that. Nice stuff, especially the sea salt bar of soap. No minibar so no sensors to worry about. These rooms also have the divided wardrobe so that each person can have their own "closet". No robes in this room. Has a safe - roomy but without a shelf. Just like Bellagio, a great iron - good steam feature that worked without leaking or dripping. The only mirrors in the room were in the bathroom. Not too good when wanting to check myself out while the other person was in the bathroom. Bathroom very roomy - large tub (no whirlpool jets) that could fit two, Glass enclosed shower with standard Vegas water pressure. Room has table and 2 chairs by the floor to ceiling windows. As with most Vegas rooms, the TV does not face the table and chairs and the TV doesn't swivel. So watching shows while relaxing in the room wasn't without moving furniture. $12,000 Coin-In per day (on average) to get a discretionary room comp. |
