*** MIA - DEC 2008 ***

(5) $1/$2/$5/$10 NSUD MG/MD near the non-smoking area.

$5/$10/$25 NSUD in high-limit area.

MAY 2007

Hollywood has 9/6 Double Double Bonus Poker in $1,2,5,10 & 25.00
denominations on most of their single line games.

OCT 2005

I found 5 NSUD single line $1, $2, $5, and $10 near the non-smoking area, NOT
in the high-limit room. Everything else looked pretty bad.

FEB 2005

Some of the $5 & $10 BP games have been downgraded to 7/5. The only remaining $5 and higher BP are the machines on the wall in the high-limit area and the 3 MG/MD slant-top machines near the promotions booth.

*** MIA - JAN 2005 ***

$1/$2 MG/MD 8/5 BP machines in non-smoking area.

JAN 2005

Hollywood Casino in Aurora, IL: The $1 BP games have been downgraded to 7/5. All $2 BP is now 7/5. The $5 & $10 BP are still 8/5.

MAR 2004

The MG .25, .50 & 1.00 machines in the non-smoking area have 8/5 BP in the dollar denomination only. NSUD exist in the MG/MD (5, 10, & $25) machines against the wall in the high-limit area.

MAR 2004

Hollywood Aurora sent $80 (and free admission and free parking) to lure us out there. We hadn't been there since they started charging admission to everything except the bathroom, and (they said) they missed us. So we visited. We found a VP wasteland, with maybe 8 (barely) playable machines (9-6 Double Aces and Faces at .25 .50 and 1.00) Most machines I checked offered returns of less than 97% --- some far less. I actually saw 7-5 DDB. I vowed never to complain about the Majestic or the Trump again. Oh yeah, ... unless you have a coupon, admission is $5, parking is $2, and re-entry to the casino is $5. What are they, nuts? The joint was as quiet as a mime convention, and I can see why. I wish them lots of luck getting back the $80 million they claim they spent on their new facilities.

Charging fees for admission and parking is not an incentive. I now drive to a casino 60 miles away, but I have a lot more fun making a lot more money. I've learned to respect Majestic thanks to my experience with Illinois and even some Nevada casinos. MS isn't perfect, but it certainly has its good points and is clearly #1 in the area as far as VP is concerned. Hollywood OTOH is in the "don't even bother" category.

FEB 2004

8/5 Bonus poker on single line multi-game/multi-denomination
machines in non-smoking area, only at the $1 level.
