*** MIA - FEB 2009 ***

(1) $1 MG/MD 15/8 LDW & NSUD slant-top near front entrance.

JAN 2009

Lake Tahoe Horizon - Monte Blu: Can now exchange comps between the two casinos
($50 and up only). Bonus points program still alive at Horizon. -Horizon LDW still there.

MAY 2008

Requires $3 coin in for 1 point, effectively reducing the cash back to 0.167%. No NSUD to be found on the aisle to the movie theatre. They appear to be rearranging their inventory in this area. I found a single Game King slant top machine with NSUD right by the front entrance. The VP comp rate is 0.25%.

MAY 2008

All VP machines have been moved to the area in front of the Four Seasons.
I did find 25c 9/6 JoB at the Cabaret Bar.

DEC 2007

The rate to earn a point varies between $1 and $2.50 ($2 on $1 - $25 9/6 JoB).

*** MIA - AUG 2007 ***

$1 LDW -- changed to NSUD ***

JUL 2007

Cash & Comps cut in half for playable VP. Both the 99.9% JOB & 99.2% BP generated only half comps. Don't know if they know about the LDW -- might still be full comps. It is possible that all VP comps have been cut no matter how bad the machine. Don't know if the bonus points program is affected--400 points previously gave you 1 bonus point which you could redeem for gifts (starting at 100 points?). The gift catalog has 10-20 gifts at levels A,B,C and D (maybe more). They have a pinball machine & telescope, etc. on display as sample gifts. It would take me 20 years to earn them!!

*** MIA - MAR 2007 ***

(12) 25c 9/6 JoB bartops @ the Cabaret Bar, near the lobby.

(6) $1 MG 9/6 JoB Game King slant-tops, near hi-limit area.

MAR 2007

Stayed at the Horizon this weekend. All the 9-6 25c JOB at the Cabaret Bar are now short pay (2500) Royal. Also, all the $1 JOB slant-tops are either short pay Royal or reduced to 8-6 or 9-5. Only worthwhile games are now the $1 9-6 progressive at the Aspen Bar and the one old, dirty, sticky, 9-6 4700 in the alcove by the Four Seasons. Makes no sense because the sister property across the street at Mont Bleu has brand new $1 slant-tops. And of course Bills has a great inventory, at least for the time being. Who's the slot director at Horizon? He should realize what he's doing.

DEC 2006

The 25c 4700RF JOB machine moved (see above) to the old Keno area.

*** MIA - SEP 2006 ***

(2) 25c (3 Play) NSUD adjacent to the bar by the movies.

(3) 25c (3/5 Play) NSUD adjacent to the bar by the movies.

(1) 25c (4700RF) 9/6 JOB slant-top in the VP cluster near the Calif entrance.

25c 9/6 JOB PROG at the Aspen Bar (near the theaters).

*** MIA - JUL 2006 ***

(2) $1 (3 Play) MG NSUD uprights in alcove near cabaret.

(2) $1 (3 Play) MG 9/6 JOB uprights in alcove near cabaret.

JUL 2006

Player’s card can NOT be used at MontBleu across the street.

JAN 2006

Not getting cash vouchers anymore, just 5x cash back on play. Have been playing about 1500 points a month.
There is a limit on the 5x coupon of $500 cash back. Need 200 points minimum to get $5 with 5x coupon.

JUL 2005

The $1 3-play NSUD are confirmed. 2 upright
coin-in, MG machines in alcove near cabaret.

JUN 2005

Horizon Lake Tahoe: Could not find any 10/7 DB. There are (29) $1 (single denomination machines) at the hotel/Nevada end of the casino and the best is (1) 9/7 DB machine all others with DB are 9/6. I think (2) of the $1 MG uprights near the caberet had NSUD but will have to confirm that.

MAY 2005

On a cursory walk-through I saw a $ Game King near the front door
with 9/6 JOB & 10/7 DB. May have been more machines.

MAR 2005

The 25c (4700 RF) 9/6 JOB are on four (4) slant top machines in the VP cluster of 36 machines near the stateline (Calif) enterance. The 25c 3-play NSUD's are on five (5) machines adjacent to the bar by the movies. The machines across the aisle, nearer the cashier are all short pay. Also, there is a $10 limit on the 5x coupon for $50 cash back maximum.

FEB 2005

The magic number seems to be $6000 action (3000 points)...That gets mail that includes 2 $50 vouchers (one usually good for the early part of the month, the other for the last part of the month) there is usually a 2 day gap between vouchers Also included is 2 free midweek (Sun-Thurs) nights for the early part, and late parts of the month (4 nights total)...For example: March mailing has $50 and 2 nights valid March 1-15, and $50 and 2 nights valid March 17-31.

$5000 action (2500 points) gets $5 cash, $5 match play and $59 midweek room rate.

You can receive the the cash, with no additional play for 3 consecutive months. Totals $300 cash, and 12 midweek nights for your $6000 action. A bargain by Tahoe standards. 4th month, instead of receiving the cash vouchers you get a 5X coupon good for one day. There is a cap on the 5X, but I'm not sure of that limit. Best to give your $6000 action 2-3 weeks before expiration of 3rd month, to allow lead time, and ensure no halt in cash mailings. Couples with separate player club cards (each with $6000 action) would both qualify for the monthly mailings.

FEB 2005

Tahoe horizon cashback is 0.2%. $2.50 coin in equals one point. 1,000 points equals $5 cashback.

DEC 2004

Only found (1) 4700 JoB - near Calif entrance.

NOV 2003

There are at least 4 25c JOB with 4700-coin royal; Triple Play 25c NSU; and if you look hard enough, you'll find the single multi-denomination NSU amoung a bank with Extremely Ugly Deuces. 8 hours of 25c 4700 JOB in one month will net you $50 X 2 BBCs per month for the next three months, 4 hours will net half of that.

NOV 2003

The best games appear to be 9/6 JOB (scattered throughout the casino) in single and three-line .25 denoms, also NSUD in three plays available near the state line entrance. Comps/cashback APPEAR to be .2/.1, "appear" I say because the countdown meters are confusing (and sometimes don't work) and the boothlings have NO clue as to what coin-in means (I mean, total bovine blank looks abounded). My estimation is from an approximation of estimated hands/hr X play duration.

OCT 2003

$7500 coin-in per month gets $100 in bounce back cash per month - probably the max that they send out.
