(6) $1 9/5/80 WHA (Quad A = 1199) @ the end of the Fish Bar. (1) 25c FPDW slant-top on the wall by the men's room next to gift shop. The FPDW by the promotion area is MIA. The one along the wall (and all the other vp's there) were out of service. (1) 25c FPDW slant-top near Fish Bar. The two 25c FPDW that were near the very annoying carnival barker, extolling the benefits of paying $50 to play some special slot machines are now only one. The one along the wall near the rest rooms and the one at the "fish bar" are still there. (1) of the 25c slant-tops near Promotion area is MIA. The Trop has (1) $1 9/6 JoB, $1 (1/3/5 Play) 8/5 BP and $1 8/5 JoB progressives in the high-limit area . The $1 NSUD are MIA and the 25c FPDW are still there. There is $1 single line BP, JOB and NSU Deuces. There are also $1 8/5 JOB progressives on very old machines in the back of the show room and upstairs. I could not find a full pay JOB anywhere, the Tropicana has gone 8/5, 7/5 and we even saw 6/5 at certain bar tops. The Mandalay Bay was the same. Even Slots o Fun has gone 8/5. The famous bartops at SOF were now 6/5. I also checked Circus, Westward Ho and all were 8/5 or less. All Mandalay partners in Vegas were no longer full pay on JOB. I have just returned from Las Vegas and wanted to update you on the DB 10/7 machines at the Tropicana, which have all been downgraded to 9/6 machines. I checked with one of the floor managers, who confirmed that there are no longer any DB 10/7 machines. But there is plenty of DB 9/6 - machines are scattered throughout the casino. The Tropicana has upgraded their introductory offer at the Winner's Club. New members playing at least 30 minutes within the first 24 hours after signup receive a free logo T-shirt. Those playing 90 minutes get two free tickets to "The Magic of Rick Thomas," while those playing 150 minutes get two tickets to "Folies Bergere." According the casino's publicity, it does not matter what machine or domination you play -- though we assume that you have to have some minimum coin-in to receive the various awards. |
