We are just back from two days at Palazzo and four at Wynn. For our entire time in Vegas there was 9/6 at both Palazzo and Venetian. There were 6 machines just outside the high slots area in Game Kings at Palazzo. One side was single line and the other multi-line. All of it was $2 and above. At Venetian there were 10 machines. They were in the bank where the old "3 amigos" used to be. One side single line and one side multi-line. Once again only in $2 and up. We couldnt find anything playable in $1 or below. We did NOT check the high limit area machines. Curiously enough, or maybe not so curiously, while we saw some other machines in play we rarely saw anyone at the 9/6. Discretionary comps are based on 600-800 points per day ($30,000-40,000 coin in) with your host having some discretion if you end up on the low end. For 600 points a day you will recieve limited RFB with a $100/day food allowance. As your points increase your food allowance will increase also. You also will get limo to and from airport. At this level you will receive many very nice offers from marketing with Free Play in the range of $300-500. The dealt royal progressive on the bank of ten $1 multigame slant-tops between the front escalator and Noodle Asia restaurant was over $220,000 yesterday. In addition to 8/5 JoB and 7/5 BP, they also have 9/6 Double Bonus, 9/5 DDB and a really bad Deuces Wild game. Break points for $1 7/5 BP PROG (INCLUDES 1/3% CB): 100.00% $173,002 100.50% $221,732 101.00% $270,463 102.00% $367,924 105.00% $660,307 Comps (about 0.75%) expire at the end of a trip, or after about two weeks for locals, and must be gotten through a host. $10,000 coin-in on $1 9/6 JoB got me $80 in earned comps (must go through a host to get the comps). If your room is comped you probably won't get any additional comps at the V until you play upwards of 30K/day. I came in on an offer for 2 nights plus $50K video poker tourneyment. ($50,000/225 entries = $222 expected value.) I earned a total of 1150 points ($57500 coin in). I charged $250 food to my room and was told could only comp $150 of it. I confirm that all of the games listed in the Best Games section are still there. In addition there is a bank of 5 machines in the hi-roller area that are $5 7/5 Bonus Poker progressive, but also have 9/6 JB (not progressive). That makes a total of 9 $5 JB machines. Also confirm still takes $50 to earn 1 point. The Venetian has "free" highspeed Net access. An RJ-45 plug is available for your PC, or you can use a modem line to the handset if you have older equipment. The best 25c VP that I found was 8/5 JoB, 7/5 BP and 9/6 DB in MG/MD uprights scattered around the casino. Time spent playing as well as the standard criteria is a comping factor at the Venetian. Hotel rooms are large and very, very nice. Beautiful marble foyer, and a nice bathroom and bedroom area. There is a 2 step stepdown to a "living room" (there's no wall separating the bedroom and living room, just two steps down) with a couch and chairs and a gorgeous view out of the windows, especially on the strip side $30,000 Coin-In per day (on average) to get a discretionary room comp. |
