The 7 upright DW machines have been restored to NSU and there are 9 flat top NSU machines with the Barona Logo near the firepit area (now,again. All are $1/2/5 single line. Until recently, the $1 machines at Barona (Lakeside, CA) were NSUD (25/16/10/4/4), paying 99.73%. I was out there today, and found them to have been changed to 25/16/9/4/4/, paying 99.23%. These are the machines that are Deuces Wild (and bonus deuces) only, near the self-service beverage station. The $1 machines with the Barona logo seem to have been changed to 25/15/9/4/4/, paying 98.91%. This is the same as the 25-cent Barona logo machines near the coat check entrance. The hard comps can be $100 Visa gift cards, sports tickets and concerts. They don't seem to like to give it all in Visa cards. At the 125K level it appeared to be .1% hard comps. I wish I could give exact numbers, but they won't give up the info. These are what I have been able to obtain by asking nicely. They also give soft comps of rooms, meals etc.. They tell me my bounce back cash next mailer will be $115 coupons. In addition to their meagre .1% cashback they will give you a $100 debit card for every $100K coin in, bring cash back to .2%. I was getting $85 BBC, but it has dropped to $15 as my play increased!?! At 125K coin in within 6 months Barona gives a Platinum card. One unpublished benefit is a free meal each session if you order it at the - location and game details are unknown. I put $120,000 through at Barona and made their lower tier. The host, Leon gave me a $100 Visa gift card (ask for it) in addition to the meager .1% cash back. He was friendly and said if I want to go to a ball game or concert in San Diego give him a call and he will see what he can do.. Very friendly! You can be like Kenny Rogers and not only bet big, but get rooms comped as well at Barona. 100-play Joker 2pair for quarters, and lots of FP stuff and good progressives for $1 and $5 denom players. Both places will pick you up. I prefer the View myself, especially if they like your play. Was at Barona last Thursday and the tp 9/6 JOB were still available. There were also single line 9/6 JOB at the $1, 2, and 5 levels. I still saw two 25c and one dollar ($) Boom machines. The access road on your return seemed much more narrow and dark at night. During the daytime, the drive is quite scenic. On a Thursday, business seemed very good and more pits of table games were open. One of these trips, I'll try to see the "handle" for room comps. Some of my local relatives get room offers all the time but I assume limited to mid-week days. There are now only (2) 25c/50c/$1 (3/5 Play) TITO NSUD Jumbo-sized uprights near center table games. The (2) $1 (3/5 Play) TITO NSUD Jumbo-sized uprights near center table games are MIA. Club Barona (slot club) members get 20% off at the buffet. Higher tier levels get 50% off. Barona (Lakeside) ... Barona also has NSUD in various denoms up to $1 but I didn't get an exact inventory count. I also was impressed with the amenities, I also like having a balcony I could stand on. As far as play, I can help shed some light. Last May I played 5k and that generated a offer to stay one night anytime. I stayed over for one night and played $8k, that generated another offer of one night and either $35 free bonus cash or $70 free bonus cash, if I brought a friend to sign-up for the Club Barona card. Finally stayed overnight at Barona located in Lakeside of San Diego County. I am happy to report the rooms were very nice although you have to walk a bit to and from the hotel area to the casino. There is a workout room (unsupervised) with various treadmills, bikes, weight apparati, etc. No liquor is served there but there is no legal restriction againist having liquor in your room. Threre is also a sitting parlour on the 2nd floor with a fire place and various chairs where you could go and sip a few drinks that you bring to the area. I only ate at the buffet and the branding iron coffee shop. Both were a bit above average and the steak house looked like you would want to have a special meal there. The weather today was such that golfers were out on the course at 8a.m. and the scenery was very delightful. Occasional 'bounceback' cash mailers/discount hotel-golf pkgs. Every VP machine has Auto-Hold feature, which can't be turned off. |
