The vpFREE Video Poker Group is a free internet forum for the discussion and exchange of information about video poker and video poker related topics. vpFREE is dedicated to sharing, promoting and preserving good video poker situations that can survive and prosper in an open market environment. MEMBER PARTICIPATION: Every vpFREE member, as a requirement for continuing membership, is expected to: 1. Vote in all applicable vpFREE polls and elections. 2. Report DataBase inventory changes that they notice in casinos they visit, unless they believe it's in their best interest to protect an attractive game for their own personal use. NON-PROFIT: vpFREE is, and will always remain, a non-profit operation. Neither vpFREE nor the vpFREE Administrator has any financial interest, direct or indirect, in any commercial video poker related product or endeavor. CONDUCT: Members are expected to observe the rules of "NETIQUETTE" , and to practice politeness and show good taste in their vpFREE posts. All members, by their continued participation in vpFREE, agree that they will observe and practice these Rules and Policies. MODERATION: vpFREE is semi-moderated, which means that established members aren't normally moderated, but individual members can be moderated for cause. All new members are moderated, to help prevent spam messages, until they have made a legitimate post. FREEvpFREE: Any extended discussions of off-topic threads should be done on "FREEvpFREE" which is the unmoderated, free speech forum of the vpFREE groups. Disruptive threads will be moved to FREEvpFREE. SUNSHINE POLICY: ALL of the better video poker games that are known to the vpFREE Administrator will be shared with the vpFREE membership. Individual members are expected to report all attractive games they find, unless they believe it's in their best interest to protect a game for their own personal use. PROMOTIONAL POSTS: The preferred promotional method on vpFREE is the use of short, unobtrusive signature files. In addition, occasional announcements of new or continuing offers of mainstream video poker related products are acceptable. All other promotional posts require prior approval. ADMINISTRATION: The vpFREE Administrator makes, interprets and enforces the rules and policies for vpFREE, subject to oversight from the vpFREE Administrative Committee. BEFORE POSTING MESSAGES ON vpFREE FORUMS 1. Every message's subject line should accurately identify the content of the message, to facilitate faster navigation by interested or uninterested members. 2. If you reply to a message and change the subject matter, either start a new thread (preferable) with a new subject line or rename the subject line to reflect its new focus. 3. When replying to messages, quote just enough of the previous post to maintain continuity. Delete the rest of the previous post. 4. When replying to messages, clearly differentiate the previous message(s) from your comments, so that it will be easy to identify who wrote what. 5. Never post lengthy copyrighted material verbatim without permission. This includes posts from other internet forums. Instead, post a link to the material and/or a summary. Short, credited excerpts may be quoted. 6. If you have Yahoo administrative problems, send a private email to the Administrator, after you have checked the vpFREE Yahoo! Administrative Problems Directory. 7. As a spam prevention measure, no one can upload to the Files Directory or the Photos Directory on the vpFREE home page unless they get temporary upload access from the Administrator. 8. Casino personnel probably monitor vpFREE Groups so posts containing sensitive information should take this into consideration. 9. Negative personal comments or personal attacks, as perceived by the Administrator and regardless of circumstances, aren't tolerated on vpFREE. When making or responding to a negative post, be objective, factual, polite and impersonal. You can assert, deny, disagree, correct or explain, but no name-calling and don't make belittling, ridiculing or sarcastic remarks about the writer or their message. 10. Let the Administrator do the administrating. Send any comments, questions, suggestions or disagreements about vpFREE policies or procedures to the Administrator via private email or post them on FREEvpFREE. 11. Any post that disagrees with vpFREE Dogma and reaches contradictory conclusions, should be supported with significant, persuasive documentation. Generalizations and limited anecdotal evidence aren't persuasive. 12. Most vpFREE members rely on the forum for accurate information, and may misunderstand, misinterpret or be confused by tongue-in-cheek posts which are presented as fact. Always make it very clear in your posts if they are tongue-in-cheek, by using "smilies", stating that you're kidding or something similar. 13. Use FREEvpFREE for any smoking vs. non-smoking discussions. Non-partisan status reports about smoking and non-smoking availability in casinos is OK on vpFREE. |
