Welcome to Tom and Karen's Place

In remembrance of Vincent "Vinnie" Danz

September 11, 2001

New York City Police Dept Hero

Vinnie gave his life while attempting to save others
during the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center
in New York City.

Vinnie was a NYC Police Officer and a member of the U.S. Coast Guard serving in the Reserves as Port Securityman. Not only was he a classmate (Class of 1981, Southampton High School, Southampton NY), he was also a shipmate. On September 11th, 2001, Vinnie crossed the bar. Fair winds and following seas my friend.

The following links are to the USCG Reservist and the NYC Police Department
Memorial websites.

Disclaimer:

All pictures on my site (with the exception of the two above of Vinnie) were taken by me (Tom), Karen, or someone-else in our group; unless I note otherwise. I could care less if you steal 'em, just don't be a poser with 'em.

Any comments and/or suggestions ... see the email address above.

Complaints, please use this link.

http://thewall-usa.com is a more user friendly site than the DPMO site, which is a dot mil site and has very straight-forward information. I could not link USAF CAPT Peter Grubb's MIA search page from thewall-usa.com, as it became an invalid link.

The DPMO site is the official government website on personnel accounting and recovery matters. The Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO) is responsible for the oversight policies on the rescue of Americans who are isolated, captured, detained or otherwise missing in a hostile environment and the recovery and identification of the remains of those who never returned from foreign battlefields. You can get there by clicking this link: www.dtic.mil/dpmo

All pictures of the trips will be found in the Pics link to the left. Current ride pics will be posted about a week or so after the event, so check back often. The last posted ride: 6th Annual RUMBLE THRU THE TUNNELS, Oct 2006.

I've added a Family Album. I figured to show the rest of the family than just Karen & I doing bike trips. It'll be updated from time to time with new material. Click the Pics link on the left to check it out.

EMAIL: .remove.vtwinrider@cox.net (remove the .remove. to send me email at the Cox addy). Its set that way to keep the spam bastages from spamming the rats ass outta me. All complaints can be directed to COMPLAINTS link.

Hey .. AOL did something to their webmail server and I can't get into my Nomad1500Rider acct. I've tried three different browsers and still nada.  Use the one shown above instead.
