If you are going to operate on solar power with a 100w rig you might want a Battery Booster to keep the voltage in the rig's operating range. The solar panel puts out 3 A max in bright sunlight. Use a "Schottky Barrier" rectifier for the reverse current diode and save a half a volt. If you have a Ten Tech Omni "D" you wont need a Boost!

The white wires are the torroid transfomer. The black and blue cans are the electrolytics used to filter out the inverter ripple and noise. The black items with the screws through them are the power transistors and rectifier.The yellow coils are ferrite inductors used to catch the "hash".
