The cross band repeaters are Yaesu FT 8800's with a power output of 50 watts. The antennas are Comet GP-9's. The repeaters utilize a UHF link to tie them and the Echolink node together.  The system has about a 25 mile range with a 50-watt mobile or about 3-5 miles with an HT and a "rubber duck" antenna. The repeaters, located in Edmond and southeast Logan County, operarate on 145.775 simplex and 145.525 simplex respectively. Both use 100Hz CTCSS for access.

The Echolink Interface
Internet linking is one of today's fastest growing facets of Ham Radio, marrying the world of Radio to the Internet. ECHOLINK is an internet gateway program that allows you to communicate with other Ham operators around the world using "internet propagation". Our interface of choice is the VA3TO Linking Interface. It provides excellent audio, hardware DTMF decoder, COS receiver input control, 4 min. T.O.T. and auxiliary control receiver input.
The RF Link Radio
The UHF link is supported by a Motorola Radius GM300 transceiver.  This is one of the most popular link radios around with a power output of 25 watts, sensitive receiver and convenient 16 pin connector on the rear panel for all link connections.  These radios are readily available on the used market, particularly on eBay.
