CTS Team Annual Cannon Shoot
I’m not telling you who we work for or what CTS stands for.
Any day is a good day for some outdoor activity and team building.
Hey lets go blow something up !
A highly technical operation of bore sighting the cannon is accomplished using the original technique of “dead reckoning approximation” (about over there)
We do this for the kids,,,,,, and those of us that never grew up "by choice" !
Help manage our public resources. Take out more trash than you brought in ! The CTS team did a great job cleaning up the area.
AS EXPECTED !
Hanging out with us too long corrupted the poor boy. His first gun as show a 44-MAGNUM. Actually he needed it to handle bear attaches while fishing. Surprisingly he is doing fine with it.
I’m sure he will want you to notice how cool he looks with it.
Cool Dave Cool !
Shotguns, high power rifles, hand guns, were all here. We had a good time shooting each others guns.
The actual loading of a cannon is complex and not done quickly (If you like your hands). Historically it is interesting to watch and you will know most of the Civil War movies you have seen are bull. It’s hard enough to do without people shooting at you.
Everyone likes the sound and the smell of the old gun powers.
Smokeless powder,,, I think NOT!
Damage inspection crew confirmed a debris field was found. These are the same people that rubber neck at a traffic accident,,,,, but this time it’s OK.
TEAM BUILDING !
You just can’t get mad at someone you blow things up with.
Yes, that was a safe on the ground . If you blow a hole though the back with the cannon it has a tendency to open the door. We need a car for a target next year !
