ATV 11

Here I go again, off by myself. This time it was a good thing. I had a flat on my ATV that I found just as I was leaving the house. If I had planned to meet anyone they would have been a bitchin about me !

My objective the first time was to hit the main roads and cover a lot of ground. My objective on this trip is to hit the smaller more obscure road.

When you get to the hidden stuff in this area it is amazing. (center below) It looks like some fire fighter or forest service person made a bench years ago, but not a path worn to it. If you look real close (right) you can see the deer hiding in the woods.

Some really strange looking rock , dark drown with snow white markings. I passed through a few of the cattle fences and got down to some really good ATV only roads. S W E E T !!!!!

The payoff starts ! (left & right) Nice view down the canyon ! So we go up the hill a little further. WOW ! Sweet clearing and a perfect place to camp with a view ! What a view ! (below)

Now if I just walk down to that tree without falling over the edge.,,,,, Holy #$@%&^ WHAT A VIEW ! It's just a little hazy from all the forest fires but not too bad. I see these little dots in the water below ???? Super ZOOM,,, and I see people way-way down there in the water. I have No idea how they got there, possibly floated in ??? I hope they can get out.
I have my GPS and will be able to tell where I am (was). I guess now I have to study a map and find a way to get down to the water. "Next time" !

Some of these roads/paths just scream "ATV ONLY" How nice just a cru zing along and listening to classical music in the headsets. I seen almost NO ONE (2) on these roads all day.

Check this out,,, it looks like someone actually worked some of these paths. No jeep would ever squeeze this path but almost no sign of any ATV traffic.
It sure seems like someone "or thing" is watching me. Sorry for the bad picture (below). If I keep riding they just watch, if I stop they run.

WOW !!! I've been out here too long! It's getting dark and I am in deep (as usual ) I need to come back here again #3, and maybe a #4 and #5.

Holy SMOKES a picture of me,,,,, this could only mean 1 thing. Someone went for a ride with me ! Yes! it is true ! One of my friends "Mike" (1 Shot) from R.A. Riding Arizona joined me on Pivot Rock #3. He has a Honda Big Red, an A+ historic machine! See absolute proof that you just don't have to spend a lot of money to have a lot of fun.

My objective on this trip is almost the same as the last " hit the more obscure trails" . On this trip I also wanted to look at that canyon again. I just can't see how they got down to the bottom ???? I'm sure Mike wanted to see the canyon for himself. This was about the only place that I repeated from the previous trips. We spent most of the day on great ATV/Jeep roads and also many roads that were basically ATV only !

I think we found some great trails again this weekend. I just need to put together a map linking all the best and most scenic places into 1 ride. (as soon as I figure out how to get down to the bottom of the canyon ???)
