OK ! This is the last planned trip (sure) to explore this area. I just had to go back this one more time to run some paths I may have missed. AND !!! I did find the way down to the bottom of the canyon. Yes it is a hiking trail. Don't even think about going down with anything but your feet. (below)
Way off the beaten path ! Check out the strange figures , a giant land spider and Medusa.
Ok,,,,, I think I am done but I didn't bring all my maps with me so I'm not sure. It was a fun day. I believe I have covered 99% of all the roads, trails, paths, and fire roads. But I cut no new paths "Tread Lightly". The most important find was the way to hike down to the bottom of the canyon, maybe when it gets cooler out.
On the way back I happened on a fire bomber doing it's magic. It's not too often you get to see this. It was almost dark and with the zoom, let's just say the photo quality is not good,,,, but interesting

OK, I went home and studied the maps. I didn't remember for sure if I had gone down a few more of the ATV paths??? My friend Mike pointed out a few that I think I did the first time I went to PR ???? These are the trails that got me so excited for the area. I guess I better check them out but I am going to a new area before the day is over. No really I am !
What great ATV trails! Another trick of nature! When you ride alone in isolated areas your senses are at a peak. Sometimes you see thing that other would not notice like this LION face !
OK I'm DONE ! I'm heading East to the "Crook Side" It just can't be this good…..BUT,, BUT ,,,that sign says "Cleared Trail" ???? Could it be ?
This side is great ! Wonderful forest ! I see lots of ATV trails ! Potato Lake sucked , it’s a small pond .
For my 1st trip into this area I tried to cover a large area to get the big picture. Wow! It has got big views !
It's all open, you can drive to the edge of the Mongolian Rim . Sure glad my brakes worked !
If you look back at my Fossil Creek trip you will see those pipes that carried water to the power plants. I'll bet they produced a lot of power! This is more than a few thousand feet change in elevation ! Anyway the water starts a Blue Ridge and goes a bunch of miles. I guess I'll have to follow the pipe on a future trip.
Check out the cool cabin ! I think this is going to be a swell place to explore. I'm finding this stuff without even trying. This is a more historic area than PR.
Check out this view! I see something moving on the ledge ? ZOOM , some moron is playing with his life. I better wait. Maybe I can get a real good picture ! Aren't I rotten !
I'll be back to the Crook side !
