Jan 15, 2006 Rye Arizona North to Zulu Mine

This should be the last exploratory ride North , West or North-West of Rye. I feel I have pretty well worked the area over. This ride will research the last pittins of anything left just north of Rye for about 20 mile. The road are great and decay into ATV only trails in many cases (that’s fine with me) On my way to Zulu Mine I seen this Jeep off in the distance. I guess I found an un documented mine ? unmapped anyway. Not much left of the Jeep !
Zulu Mine was a disappointment. It was like open pit mining but I guess you would call it open hill. It looks like they mined with a bulldozer and just tore the side out of the hill, not pretty ! I’m really not too disappointed, look at the other scenery on the way to Zulu. I think they call the one mountain Table Top Mesa.
My next route will take me to Delaware Mine . I can’t find anyone that has ever seen this mine. At one point I could see some of that open hillside stuff again but that wasn’t it. The GPS took me to a locked gate &#@#$ POO ! but that’s OK, look at the great windmill I found
To the right is a berg called Oxbow. Funny looking down on it.
So I was locked out, BIG DEAL ! Look at the great view I had. The one ATV trail looked like it went off into space. It was a wonderful day. Your just reading this,,,,but I did it ! ---- and you didn't !
