ATV 23

We unloaded at the RA staging area and headed out. This is different scenery for the wife to absorb. This was a pretty good climb from the desert floor up into the pine trees at about 6200ft. It hasn’t rained here in over 100 days and the lower elevations were very dusty. Up in the trees it was relatively nice and a bit on the cool side.

Check out this cave! It’s just too cool. I didn’t think the wife would go in. The sun glasses didn’t help me. I really need to go back with flashlights. I don’t think this cave is mapped. I am told there are other entrances to other caves in the area.

Coming back out of the mountains the scenery is great, looks like a mini Sedona.
Left-It’s dusty at the lower elevations, so I let the little women get a good run on me. Yes that is her with a cloud of dust behind her. We do use FSR radios so this is OK

The wife couldn’t attend my unscheduled ride so off I go by myself. I really have not had an time on the new Polaris. It is in warranty so if I am going to ride I guess I should try the Polaris. I headed up to an area, Cane Spring Road. I was a total disaster the last time I was here but that was almost a year ago they should have the road in fixed ???

Guess what? The road in is still washed out. It’s not even passable with an ATV- WOW !. I guess I will not be doing Cane Springs Road but I did find a good test road for the ATV . I think they call it “primitive” ! It should say donkeys and ATV’s only. After riding this area I did the big climbing test at Mt. Ord . Can 200cc’s carry 200+ pounds up hill to 6,000 ft with no problem? Yes! I also did some of the steep secondary mine trails with no problem.
