I needed a few days off of work and it sure looked appealing to hit the road, or should I say "back-roads" during the week. It’s not like I have a lot of people bothering me on the weekends. During the week I can approach Zero, like see NO ONE all day. The wife asked to go up on the Mogollon Rim in hopes of seeing the last of the snow up at 7,000+ feet. She didn’t have to ask me twice !
Connie found her snow. We went to some isolated camping/picnic spots and had a some snack (with great views) I actually got Connie to stand near the edge ! and enjoy it !
You just can’t beat the view from the edge of the Rim.
(Below) I finally found the Historic Marker for “The Battle Of Big Dry Wash” I have been here twice before and never found the monument. The GPS coordinates on the map are a little off or I just didn’t search very good. Anyway I found it and GPS marked the coordinates on my map .
We found our dream cabin- No electric, No water. It would be real hard to get to for some parts of the year without a horse or ATV. $100 of furniture from Goodwill and this would be a SWEET !
FREE HAT !
We road 72 miles today and as always enjoyed the outdoors ! After 72 miles the wife is still smiling. This is the HAPPY effect from getting the correct machine to do the job. I would like to thank Canyon Honda for helping me select a Honda Recon in 2005. I know my wife would like to thank Bernie at Four-Seasons Motorsports for helping to put her on a Polaris Sawtooth in 2006. And Bernie will give you a free hat if you spend a bunch of money ! See how sporty it makes the wife look !
