12/30/2006 Pine Mountain/Mt Ord "Fun Run"
My buddy Mike just got his 1st Quad - ATC to ATV
We started our ride just heading up Mt Ord. About ½ way up we hit snow. As you can see the low flying clouds gave a nice illusion once we climbed above them. This cloud bank was hanging over Lake Roosevelt most likely due to the warn water and cold temperatures.
No problem riding up the mountain with Mike’s new ATV, 650cc, automatic transmission, check out the color! Yes, it is a rare black Honda. 1st black Honda I have ever seen, and I like it!
(Left) A nice view of the Rim from back at Pine Mountain. (Right)Snow covered roads in an area that just doesn’t look like it should have snow.
This is what makes it all worth while. The snow was fairly deep in some spots but not a problem. The north sides of the mountains are just great to enjoy with beautiful trees and snow. I know Mike has to be loving this area.
Oh-Oh ,,,, Mike is talking to his ATV again, LOL. This was a giant step up from his ATC (as in 3 wheels) and I think he is really happy with his choice. It’s always nice to ride with people that have 4wd. If you get in trouble they can pull you out. (If I can just talk him into getting a winch)
Lets see if I have this figured out : I have a Recon 229cc, then they have a Rancher 4X4 350cc, then they have a Rubicon 4X4 500cc, and Mike has the Rincon 4X4, automatic, 650cc. Too many R's
Magic Pyramid Rock, see my front tire levitate.
