BLACKBERRY OBSERVATORY
Welcome to the homepage of Blackberry Observatory. The observatory is located across the Mississippi River from Baton Rouge in Port Allen. It is designated MPC code 929 and is where I do asteroid and variable star photometry whenever clear skies allow.
The telescope is a 12" Meade LX-200 on a Mettler wedge. The scope currently sports an Optec IFW filter wheel with Bessel prescription BVRI filters, an Optec TCF focuser, and an Apogee AP-7p CCD camera. The telescope runs autonomously using Bob Denny's ACP and Pinpoint with Doug George's MaxIm DL.
