Backup systems, downtime strategies, and anticipated repairs.

Backup systems are only achievable through the construction of a second, parallel line, which is likely cost-prohibitive. However, the Water Bullet system is not designed for on-demand transport. Rather, the design purpose is for long-term sustainaible material transport. If the system is down for 10% of the time for maintenance, repairs, etc., no product will spoil; no immediate demands cannot be met. Therefore, backup systems are not of great concern.

Anticipate repairs include replacement of material canisters, cleaning of carrier pipe, identification and fixing of vacuum leaks, maintenance and repair of vacuum pumps, and regular electrical track replacement.
