Hello, my name is
Scott Rayburn, C.M.T.
I am also a member of
A.B.M.P.
I am a graduate of Praxis College of Health Arts and Sciences School of Massage Therapy. It is a 1200 hour certification program that covers extensive areas in the bodywork field. Some of the subjects covered are Anatomy, Physiology, Human Performance, Pain Control and others. The modalities (skills) covered includes Swedish, Athletic, Psycotherapeutic and Therapeutic Touch. In the oriental styles I've studied Shiatsu, Thai and Tui-na.
I have attended a variety of workshops and will continue to do so to best meet the needs of my clients. I am currently studying and becoming certified in Eric Dalton's myoskeletal alignment techniques. If you are curious about this work you can visit Eric's web page listed below and visit his introduction page and look at articles from there.
In the past I have been pleased and honored to offer volunteer
work in local charities, the Oklahoma City Bombing and May 3rd
Tornado.

I elected to avoid a clinical
atmosphere and instead focused on a relaxing environment located
on the ground level of my home. You will find yourself in a
safe and quiet neighborhood located in the Shepard Historic
District. In the treatment room you will experience
soothing music, sounds of a water fountain and if you like
incense will be used. I work with one client at a time so
you are not faced with traffic or have to worry about me jumping
from one client to another.

Some female clients may
have concerns about safety issues when working with a male
therapist. Be assured that your safety and privacy are of
my utmost concern! With most women it is not necessary to
perform a breast massage and breast drapes will be used as in the
above photo. All clients (male and female) have the right
to determine what areas of their body will or will not be worked
on before the session begins. (ie: Abdomen, Buttocks,
etc.) I use clean drapes during each session and only the
area of the body being treated will be uncovered at that time.

With most clients, I like to
allow for a 60 to 90 minute session. In my experience, more
often than not, when giving a one hour bodywork treatment too
many short cuts had to be taken. You will be surprised at
how much better your results will be with just that extra half
hour. You will find my rates competitive to the bodywork
field.
I
also offer chair massage in 15 to 30 minute increments.
This can be a great introduction to Bodywork for you. It is
also very convenient to stop by on your way home from work for a
short chair massage session and shed the stress of the day before
you go home to your family. Remember that I'm located
conveniently close to the downtown area!
