Changes Need To Be Made
A matter has come to concern involving (at
this point) legitimate Oklahoma City Therapists. There is
definitely intent to target prostitution under the guise of
massage therapy included in this movement. But
unfortunately legitimate Massage Therapy/Bodywork practices will
be cast under this "umbrella" as well.
There has been an OLD law on the books for many years that affects the Massage Therapy Profession in OKC NOW. This law was designed many years ago to control prostitution and has NO relevance to legitimate Massage Therapy Practices TODAY.
If you would like to view this law online you can go to:
Myself and other Massage Therapists in this community have no intention of complying with this law and being processed like prostitutes and criminals. Our intention is to have this law updated and form a new law that legitimatly represents the Massage Therapy/Bodywork Community.
This is not only going to affect Massage Therapists and their practices but their CLIENTS as well.
We encourage Massage Therapists/Bodyworkers, their clients, friends and family or anyone interested in this issue to raise their voices. Most importantly, we need to contact our city council persons and express our opposition to this defamatory, discriminatory law which is insulting and abusive to our professions.
YOU CAN CONTACT:
Charolette Cranenberg
the Licensing Beaureu

I have found Miss Cranenberg to be very
cooperative with ideas on how to improve this situation.
You can contact her and express your concerns about this law and
give input to where you would want it to go.

concerns to him
Remember! It is very important:
That we call our City Council
persons in force and submit petitions to express our feelings on
this law. VOICES COUNT!
