Square Stance

 Teaching Steps:

1. Get in football, fullback position. Hands on knees, back straight.

2. Lift hands, palms facing each other and higher than elbows, fingers spread apart.

3. Head and chest up, not facing the floor, elbows bent and in.

4. Take short, choppy steps to move. NEVER bring feet together nor cross them.

 

Keys: Hips down, Head up, Bent arm, Elbows in.

 

Motion Drill: READY (Fullback position), STANCE, RIGHT, LEFT, LEVEL CHANGE, SPRAWL, DROP STEP, RELAX.

Shadow Drill: No commands. Follow the leader.
