Texas - Louisiana Buff-bellied November 3, 2003

This picture was taken 11/3/03, the first day that he was observed back in Louisiana for another winter season. He was recaptured on the following day and pictures below were taken during the recapture.
The head and crown were fresh with only a few pin feathers evident.
The mandible was about 50 % red, and measured 19.8mm.
The tail was complete with the deep fork of a male Buff-bellied. The fork
measured 32 to 40 mm.
The wing was complete and fresh in appearance.
