The Minister pronounces the couple
"Husband and Wife"

The announcement, pronouncement, or declaration

The announcement, pronouncement, or declaration also shows some variations, but try not to make this so different. Most pronouncements require some acknowledgment of civil authority or religious directive, by which you are legally wed.

Example 1

Minister says: "Forasmuch as this man and this woman have promised to be faithful and true to each other, and have witnessed the same before God and this company by spoken vows and by giving and receiving rings in pledge, they now enter into a new estate. As a minister of Jesus Christ, I pronounce them husband and wife. What God has joined together, let no man put asunder."

Minister says to Groom: "You may kiss your bride."

Example 2

Minister says: "Inasmuch as you have agreed to enter the marriage relationship, and have given and received a ring in token of your faith, I now by the authority committed unto me as a minister of the gospel, declare that ____________ and______________ are husband and wife according to the ordinance of God and the law of the State."

Minister says to Groom: "You may kiss your bride."

Example 3

Minister says: "And now, having pledged your love for and loyalty to each other, and having sealed the pledge with the marriage rings, I do, by the authority vested in me as a minister of Jesus Christ, and in conformity with the laws of this state, pronounce you husband and wife. And what God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.

Minister says to Groom: "You may kiss your bride."

Example 4

Minister says: "Forasmuch as _________________ and _________________ have consented together in holy wedlock, and have declared the same before God and in the presence of this company, I pronounce them husband and wife: In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Amen. What God hath joined together, let no man put asunder."

Minister says to Groom: "You may kiss your bride."

Example 5

Minister says: "Forasmuch as _________________ and _________________ have consented together in holy wedlock, and have witnessed the same before God and this company, and thereto have pledged their faith to each other, and have declared the same by joining hands, and by giving and receiving a ring; I pronounce that they are husband and wife together, In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Amen. Those whom God hath joined together, let no man put asunder. Amen."

Minister says to Groom: "You may kiss your bride."
