Maria is a 11 year old grey hen and sweet as can be. Due to her history she is very shy, especailly around new people, and not overly fond of hands. But if you are patient with her and try not to startle her, you will find that she is amazingly intelligent and can read your moods, knowing exactly how to cheer you up when you are down. She is huge, larger then a show cockatiel, weighing in at a hefty 145g! She is not overweight, either, just tall, and very muscular. Clipping her flight feathers is useless because her wings are so muscular she can fly with only her secondaries intact! But she never uses her size to boss around the other birds, quite the opposite. Normally, she is the one getting kicked out of the food dishes in the morning!

On March 1st, 2007, Maria had a stroke and died instantly. She will always be in loving memory.
Andrew is a 8 year old grey male, as dorky and clueless as they come! I don't know if he is fully aware that he is a bird, because he never preens any of the other birds or let's himself be preened by them. In fact, he doesn't even preen himself most of the time! I need to towel him to pull the pins off and use a q-tip to get the feathers out of his nares. He can't fly either, or at least not well. His wings need to be clipped at all times to keep him from flying into walls. He seems to be attracted to Maria, and will dance for her often, but if she accepts his proposition he then proceeds to bite and her and usually fall off the perch. I think Maria has given up on him! People, however, he loves. He will do anything to sit on someones shoulder and sing to them, and loves parties. His kisses and songs get attention from everyone!

Tammy is a 4 year old pied hen, and my baby. Most likely due to the injuries she suffered as a chick she doesn't seem to grasp certain concepts... like that she doesn't have full control of her right leg. But as long as she is not alone and there is padding at the bottom of her cage and play area, she is the sweetest, cutest perpetual chick!

Autumn is a 17 year old fallow-pearl-pied hen and Billy is a 15 year old pied male. They are near inseperable and it even feels weird to write about them seperately! Autumn is the Queen of the flock, she controls all of the other birds and knows it. She also seems to be quite aware that she is lovely, and will flaunt it for attention! She tends to completely ignore new people, but when she grows to know you, watch out, she can never get enough pettings. Billy is a cranky old man, there is nothing else I can say about that!

Jesse is a 2 year old pearl-pied male who loves attention and will do anything to get it! If someone is causing trouble or is somewhere they shouldn't be, you can bet it is Jesse! He is a little scamp who loves to sit on heads, swing around in circles upside down, eat books and homework, unlatch toys and throw them as far as he can, stick his beak in someone's ear and scream as loud as he can, hide behind toys and think that no one can see him, and fly into people's chests. Especailly if one of those things gets a reaction! Recently he has become quite attracted to little Tammy, and she now has him on a leash! That doesn't seem to stop him from causing trouble and making up new songs to sing to everyone he meets, however.

Diana is a very shy 3 year old lutino-pearl. She is making slow process in warming up to people and is slowing becoming a very loving girl.

Apollo is a 3 year old pied male who seems to be convinced he is the size of a mastiff. He never has any problems getting around, despite only having one leg, and will fly all day long if given the chance. He has more attitude then 20 cockatiels put together, and seems to think he can take on anything! He loves to watch TV and picks up on any song he hears almost immediately. The only problem with that is that he likes to make up his own mixtures, so by the time he is done putting together a combination of every single song he knows, no one has a clue what he is singing! He tends to be the life of a party because his attitude seems to be contagious!

Tapestry is a 3 year old pearl hen and absolutely georgous. At one point I would have described her as shy but she seems to have decided that she owns everything, especailly Nikki's two male cockatiels! Buddy and Tapestry have been adopted by Nikki.
Nickname: "Taptap", "Pearly Girly"
Buddy is a 3 year old grey male and the sweetest bird you will ever meet. He loves everyone and everything! Toy? Yay! People? Yay! Other birds? Yay! Food? Yay! He is a bit of a pudgy bird because he eats everything he sees, but that has it's advantages as well! For one thing, he will eat new food the first time it is offered to him, which of course causes the other cockatiels to be interested as well. As long as there is food to eat and fingers to scratch his neck he is always a happy birdy. Buddy and Tapestry have been adopted by Nikki.
