Safety Notice

Paddling, like any other water activity, is inherently dangerous. The West Florida Canoe and Kayak Club encourages you to participate and enjoy these activities, but neither the Club, nor it’s members are responsible for your safety.

Trip Ratings - For safety purposes a system of “Trip Ratings” has been established.  Participants should consider their skill levels and only participate in trips that they are comfortable with.

Tuesday, June 24, 2008, Monthly Meeting

There will be a Swap Meet and Book Sale at the June meeting.

We will be having a Swap Meet before the June meeting starting at 6:00 p.m. in the NORTH SIDE of t he parking lot at Founaris (nearest Waffle House). You may display your goods on the tailgate or hood of your car and barter as needed. This is a good way to get rid of unused paddling equipment and pay for your meal at Founaris. (Note: If you are selling a boat, you are welcome to bring it to the summer party prior to the meeting for potential buyers to take a test run.) At 7pm, we will start our meeting as usual inside Founaris. After the business meeting, Jane will be selling approximately 50 books from our club's library to make room for new additions.
