BATHROOM TROMPE L'OEIL 
This is my first attempt at a trompe l'oeil wall painting.  My oldest son has this little alcove behind his toilet, and we determined that it would be a good place to experiment with a trompe l'oeil painting.  This is done in latex semi-gloss acrylic enamel paint, and represents a desert scene, complete with a hawk sitting on the saguaro, and lizards running on the walls (one chasing a fly).  It may be a little wild for some peoples' tastes, but a little wildness is what it's all about.  See the detail below.

This is a detail photo of the above wall painting.  Notice the lizard on the wall, and the bird-dropping on the brick behind him.  The bricks really stand up to close inspection.
