DINING ROOM TROMPE L'OEIL
This is the most complex work of my trompe l'oeil career to date.  I really had fun with this 8' x 13' wall.  My son has a Holstein cow motif in his kitchen, and wanted a wall painting which would complement it.  The center part is a near-copy of a John Constable painting entitled "Wivenhoe Park".  I designed the rest, including the pillars, and the dividers with a cat on the left one and a potted plant on the right one.  I painted a chain above the real plastic doorbell fixture, and painted a hummingbird next to it, turning it into a hummingbird feeder.  The cat on the floor is real!

This is a detail of the divider with the cat upon it.  My son had two tiger cats at the time, and one of them agreed to pose for this cat painting.
