KITCHEN TROMPE L'OEIL
We recently remodeled our kitchen, and thought a trompe l'oeil of an ivy might look appealing on the wall by the back door.  I painted a flower pot in a recessed cove, bordered with faux wood which matches the oak cabinets.  An ivy spreads from there down to the counter and up over the door, even hanging over the wood moulding of the door. I also painted a ladybug and a Viceroy butterfly on the ivy.  The butterfly is barely visible directly beneath the clock, which is real.
