Born in 1940, my parents moved from Brooklyn, New York to New Hyde Park on Long Island before my first birthday.

I have an older Brother living in Washington.

I was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout and an active member of the youth group of my church. I had several paper routes until I was 16, then I worked as a cashier in Food Fair Grocery Stores until I graduated from Sewanhaka high School. My first full time employment was with the Franklin National Bank before attending one year at Adelphia College. Not ready for college, I worked for Citizen's Water Supply Company in Great Neck for a year before enlisting in the U. S. Marine Corps.
