There is a picture in my file, undated, showing an elderly lady holding a baby in a dress. On the back Mary, my mother has written "Martha Houston & Mary (Pearson). Since my mother was born in Feb, 1916, Martha had to be around Texas that year.

Eugene and Emma Miles were enumerated on the 1900 Federal Census for Dallas County. He listed his occupation as farmer, and they stated they had been married 3 years. They lived on some of the family acreage on Houston School road. Billy Denton could tell us, as his grandfather also lived there.

Also enumerated on the same page was Mary Houston, widow of Henry Wilson Houston who had died the year before, 1899.
