            Martha was also born in Rusk County, Texas. She married three times.

            She married Thomas Jefferson Mabra in 1881. He was the brother of George Washington Mabra who married her older sister Amanda. While she was pregnant with their third child, Jennie, Thomas Jefferson Mabra died.

            About 1890 she married Robert D. CAPPS and in 1891 their only child Clarence CAPPS was born. Robert died 2 years later in 1893. In Clarence Capps Social Security Application, dated in Guymon, Oklahoma in 1944 he states that he was born on February 23, 1889, and that his father was Robert D. Capps. In the 1900 census record his mother states he was born in 1891. His 1/2 sister Jennie was suppose to have been born in October, 1888. He could not have been born in 1889, but 1891. In addition, why was he in Guymon? His brother, Cleveland died in Guymon and his aunt Lydia had moved there in 1904. 

            The 1910 Federal Census of Guymon Township, Texas County, Oklahoma, has Charles T. Mitchell from North Carolina married to "Mattie" Mitchell.  Living not far away is Cleveland Mabra, her son from her first marriage and next door is a Mitchell, probably Charles' brother.

            In the 1920 Federal Census of Otero County, Colorado, in the settlement of Rocky Ford there is a Clarence Capps, the youngest child of Mattie.  Mattie nor Charles T. Mitchell can be located in the 1920 census records.  She supposedly died in 1922.
