Erlangen Bus Report .
The occupants of our bus are Beverly Wesner, Jackie Whitman, Ralph Wofford, Don Capstick, Louis Hill Charles Loss, Victor Klemm, Ted Wilson, Bernard Case, and Bill Petros.
Ralph Wofford and Don Capstick brighten up everything by singing some songs. The fact that their voices sound like rusty waterwheels doesn't stop them from singing. Every so often they tell some old and stale jokes. Every once in a great while Louis Hill pops up with one of his stories of what happened to him while he was in the United States. There usually is an argument about who is going to hold whom because the bus is very crowded. Of course everybody wants to hold a certain person but Victor Klemm or Don Capstick usually come out on top. Jackie Whitman sits in her corner and laughs at jokes and most of the time stays quiet. But how can she say anything when everybody else is talking, singing, yelling at each other and having arguments on a lot of different subjects? All in all, we have a nice crowd of people who have a lot of fun on the Erlangen bus
Bus makes seven stops in Erlangen.
The Erlangen bus picks up Don Capstick and Bernie Case. Then after going over the canal, it picks up Jackie Whitman, Ted Wilson, and Bill Petros. Next it goes over to a house on Fichte Strasse and after a longer than usual wait a German maid leans out the window an yells "Ein Moment, bitte!" After waiting another 10 minutes, Ralph Wofford runs out of the house, slams the gate door and jumps in the bus. After we have gotten around the corner, and gone up a few blocks, we stop again for Beverly Wesner, who walks up to the bus and throws her books on saying "somebody help me on?" Just around the corner we stop again for Dick Loss and Vic Klemm. By this time all the seats are taken and Beverly is hunting for someone's lap to sit on. Then we travel to Bad Strasse to the residence of Louis Hill. After he is picked up we start on our way and believe me we don't have any room left, Thirty or forty minutes later we arrive at school.
