I'm usually not big on making reservations for trips like this, but I've been burned a few times by not understanding just how popular (and resource constrained) some places are. Since we haven't been to the Maritime Provinces before, and since their tourist season is very short, I did make reservations for the hotels we needed, and made reservations at Gros Morne National Park (because our stay there was over a weekend).
