THE DATA CABLE

The LaserMaster cable used on both the WinPrint 800 and the WinPrint 1000 is a custom cable, utilizing a high speed serial interface. You will not be able to buy this cable anywhere. However, you could easily build one from scratch or repair an existing one. There are companies out there that will build the cable for you as well. One is http://www.cablemakers.com The cable uses standard 37-Pin D-Shell Connectors, and a 10' length of shielded cable.

Use shielded cable with a Male 37 pin connector at each end.
Looking at the end of the cable, the top row of pins would be 1-19, the lower row 20-37.
The two connector "D" shells should be connected together by the shielding in the cable. This is the pinout for the cable:
  • Pins 2 thru 13 to Pins 2 thru 13
  • Pin 16 to Pin 16
  • Pin 18 to Pin 18
  • Pins 21 thru 32 to Pins 21 thru 32
  • Pin 35 to Pin 35
  • Pin 37 to Pin 37
