WM7A's Station
My station has progressed over the years from an old Hallicrafter's S-108 that I used just for SWLing, to using this along with a homebuilt transmitter, to my 1st dream station, a Yaesu FT101E and a 2 element cubical quad, and finally to my present stations. I say stations because I have my primary station and I also fire up my vintage Hallicrafters station once in a while.
My primary station consists of:
My trusty ICOM 756 transceiver
Astron Power Supply with Rigrunner power distribution
A newly acquired ACOM 1000 amplifier
Homebuilt computer to radio control interface
Homebuilt computer to radio PSK31 and CW interface
DX4WIN software for logging
MMTTY and PSK31 Deluxe for general RTTY and PSK31 operation
Writelog software for contesting
My Vintage Station still works great.
I used it to get my vintage DX 100 award #9. It consists of:
A beautiful Hallicrafters SX-115 receiver
Hallicrafters HT-32 transmitter
Hallicrafters R-48 Speaker
Hallicrafters HA-1 Keyer
Heathkit SB-220 Amplifier
Heathkit HM-102 Wattmeter
Schematic for Computer to ICOM radio control interface
Schematic for Sound Card to radio interface (for PSK31, RTTY and CW)
Schematic for keying the SB220 Amp with the IC-756 I don't use this anymore with the ACOM amp, but thought that somefolks would be interested.
