". . . a gripping and entertaining spy story with nods to James Bond and Tom Clancy. It is a touching love story of two people who have been forced to live on the edge and have lost loved ones. Finally, it is a rip-roaring and bawdy tale of excitement and adventure sure to keep the reader's nose stuck to the book."
Shelley Glodowski, Senior Reviewer,

"Edge of Tomorrow is a captivating thriller . . . An exciting novel of secret plots, lethal revenge, and debts of honor to be paid."
James A. Cox, Editor-in-Chief,
Midwest Book Review

"Edge of Tomorrow is an exciting spy novel. It takes Hatch and Syd to many parts of the world where they fight bad guys, help the good guys, make use of fantastic, hi-tech spy tools, eat, drink, love, and try to stay alive another day. It is an exceptional spy adventure and will be enjoyed by anyone who likes heart stopping danger, romance, intrigue and hi-tech gadgets. "
Barb Wright, Reviewer, Murder and Mayhem Book Club

"Mr. Wootan's exceptional writing style has the unique ability to appeal to both men and women readers. There are gizmos galore, covert ops and a hefty page count for male readers who are Tom Clancy fans. Female readers will be charmed by the chemistry between alpha hero Hatch and the strong, yet passionate heroine, Syd. Both characters are fully fleshed out and believable. . . . The story comes alive with rich detail and the pacing is perfect. . . . EDGE OF TOMORROW would make a wonderful action film."

"This is a superb novel falling totally into a new category Anti-Terrorism. And the subject is presented in thrilling and spine-chilling episodes. . . . There are no dull moments in this novel. . . Wootan’s dialogue is exemplary."

Wolf Wootan, an Air Force all-weather fighter pilot (test pilot, instructor pilot, Flight Commander) during the Korean War, has over forty years experience in the computer industry, always at the leading edge of technology.  He focused on joining or forming small, innovative teams and enjoyed contributing to and leading such groups into large, successful organizations.  He contributed in all areas including programming, design, documentation, management, marketing, financing, and corporate planning.  He has extensive experience in dealing with the highest levels of the military, including the Secretary of the Air Force; Army Vice Chief of Staff; the Chief of Naval Operations; and intelligence organizations such as the DIA  (Defense Intelligence Agency) and the CIA.

Always in a top management position, he acted as Editor-in-Chief and lead writer for all documents leaving the company.  He has written and edited hundreds of documents and books (many of them highly classified) for clients in high-level government positions and many commercial companies.  Prior to entering the Air Force, he attended the University of California at Berkeley (Mathematics, Astrophysics) from 1947 to 1952 and, after the Air Force, did graduate work at San Jose State in 1956 and 1957.

Though he continues in his computer consulting business, in 2000 he began writing novels in his spare time.  He has published two novels:  Edge of Tomorrow, a techno-thriller, and Crown’s Law, a private eye mystery/thriller set in Orange County, California where he lived for 38 years.  He has just finished the sequel to Edge of Tomorrow (by popular demand) called Return of the Assassin.  Click on NEXT BOOK.  He is now working on the sequel to Crown's Law, titled Crown's Justice.  Click here to read the first chapter.  He lives with his wife in Oceanside, California.

CROWN’S LAW is page-turning entertainment.…There is plenty of suspense, action and romance in this latest thriller by Wolf Wootan.  The author takes the reader on a break-neck ride to an exciting denouement.…Mr. Wootan has done a masterful job in developing characters you come to care about.  I highly recommend his earlier book, EDGE OF TOMORROW, to all who enjoy thrillers.”

Roberta M. Austin, Romance Junkies, Murder & Mayhem Book Club, Amazon.com, A Romance Review

". . . an outstanding read. It is a genuine page turner, and one of the better books I’ve read in a long time. The book is so well written, the reader can place himself/herself in the shoes of the characters. It mixes suspense with emotion in such a manner that the reader’s attention is never lost. . . The plot of “Crown’s Law” is also well developed and unusual . . .an outstanding book.  I’ve been sold on your work sir. Well done!"

William E. Cooper, Reviewer, Reader Views

"CROWN'S LAW is a mystery/thriller rich in plot and characterization. Wootan's knowledge of mathematics and astrophysics leaks through in his tale, and his career as an Air Force pilot fills in the rest to form a well-rounded, fun to read story of deception and love. Wootan is a bit of a romantic himself, which makes for a fairytale ending and the promise of a sequel. This reviewer is totally hooked and can't wait until his next book comes out. Get writing Mr. Wootan!"
