Anderson -- Lawrence, KS

Hard
to believe it has been 30 years! I can't wait to see you all.
I met my husband Rob at KU. We married in 1981(just celebrated
our 25th wedding anniversary last August!) and graduated in
1982. Rob's job has taken us to Texas, South Dakota and North
Dakota and finally back to Kansas. Moved to Lawrence 3 years
ago to be closer to family. We have two wonderful daughters
- Christina is 21 and attends the University of North Dakota
- She will graduate May, 2008. Jessica is 18 and will graduate
from Free State High School this May. She will attend KU in
the fall. I have worked on and off in the accounting field but
have decided to retire - I have that pesky hip (I've had 5 hip
replacements) that keeps me sidelined. I love to travel, read,
cook, garden and attend the KU basketball games! Go Jayhawks!!!!!
Becky
Baker -- Greenleaf, KS
This
is beginning to sound repetitive but it sure doesn't seem like
30 years. I have been teaching school since I graduated from
Washburn University in 1982. I taught 5th grade for three years
at Bishop Elementary in Topeka. Then I met a guy who dragged
me away (willingly) to north central Kansas and became my best
friend. Gary and I have been married for 21 years and have two
kids. Adam is 20 and a junior at KSU majoring in animal science
and has been accepted into veterinarian school. Kelsey is 14,
will be a freshman in high school and is majoring in driving.
I have taught the last 20 years at Hanover Grade School. Gary
is a farmer raising about everything especially cattle. Gary
and I are both very active in 4-H and FFA on the local, state
and national levels. We spend a lot of bleacher time with Adam
who is very involved in football, basketball, and baseball and
Kelsey is into volleyball, basketball, and softball. I can't
wait to see all of you and do some catching up.
Rick
Binkley -- Overland Park, KS

Hi
class of '77. It's been fun catching up with some of you already
online, so I thought It's only fair that I jump in. It's fascinating
to see how Ray Glaze looks exactly like his dad did in 1977
(it's like someone copied a picture of Ray Sr. out of our old
yearbook as if to say, "here's what Ray will look like
if he gets to be this old"), and yet at the same, Karen
Disidore looks exactly like the Karen Disidore from high school.
As for me, I must start by reporting that "life is good".
I'm the proud father of two girls, Katie and Emily who are seventeen
years of age…between them. (This picture is actually a
couple of years old). Unlike a lot of you who started early
raising kids and are now starting to decelerate toward retirement,
I put marriage and family off awhile longer to pursue a fast-paced
advertising career and now may need to work until age 77 before
I retire. If I do, that's quite alright, since, as I said, "life
is good". Because I waited so long, I was also something
of a cradle-robber. My wife Kathy will not turn 40 until this
October (can you believe how young 40 sounds now?). We plan
to celebrate it with a trip to Napa. We met through friends
in the advertising business. I spent the first half of my career
working for ad agencies managing large corporate accounts and
then decided to be the client for a change and took my turn
directing the ad agencies -- first as Director of Marketing
Communications for Yellow Freight and now for the past 7 years
with Sprint as Director of Business Advertising. The work has
actually been a lot of fun. I've had the opportunity to oversee
the production of probably 30 or so TV commercials, one of which
aired in this past year's Super Bowl. This has also given me
the chance to check in with my actor-brother Gregg, who lives
in LA. My hobbies these days consist entirely of work and family,
but again, that's okay…because "life is good".
Tim
Bethel - Topeka, KS

I
have three children, Ashley age 28, Matt age 26 and Michelle
age 23, and two grandchildren, Jaden age 5 and Joscelyn age
3. Ashley and the grandkids live in Topeka, Matt lives in KC
and attends Johnson County Community College and Michelle moved
to Wichita after graduating from Wartburg College a year ago.
I've worked in sales for the past 25 years. I enjoy fixing up
old cars, projects around the house, traveling, an occasional
game of golf and a good glass of wine. My girlfriend, Susie
Hoffmann, is the alumni director at Washburn University, so
I have gotten involved with Washburn and enjoy WU football and
basketball. Susie and I enjoy traveling. The picture of us was
taken on a trip to Monaco. We traveled to the Napa and Sonoma
Valleys in California earlier this spring , visited a number
of wineries and did some wine tasting. We're looking forward
to a trip to Italy, France and Switzerland in the fall of 2007.
Life is good.
Laurian
Casson -- Leawood, KS
Following
graduation from WRHS, I traveled with Up With People for 1.5
years. From 1979-1982, I attended and graduated from Bethany
College in Lindsborg, KS with a degree in Business/Economics.
I spent the next 10 years in graduate school at the John F Kennedy
School of Government at Harvard and the University of Kansas.
I did work on a Master's in Public Policy, Master's in Math,
and graduated with a Master's in Economics and Ph.D in Finance.
While at graduate student I taught economics, finance, calculus
and statistics at the University of Kansas and Rockhurst College
in Kansas City. We moved to Wisconsin at 1991 and I took a position
teaching at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and then at
University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. While participating on my
church's Foundation Board and functioning as the faculty advisor
to the investment club at UW-Whitewater, I became more interested
in the investment field. In August of 1995, I changed careers
and became a stock analyst on financial companies. I have worked
in that function for the last 12 years at Firstar Bank (Madison
and Milwaukee), Principal Financial Group (Des Moines), and
currently at Waddell & Reed (Overland Park). Throughout
this period, I maintained my interest in music, playing keyboards,
writing vocal and instrumental parts and directing Contemporary
Worship at church for 22 years in the different places we've
lived. I've filled my free time coaching my youngest daughter's
soccer team, officiating my 3 kids' swim meets, and gardening.
I just recently rejoined the Kansas City Blazers Master's Swim
Team, having never received my fill of swimming since WRHS didn't
have a high school team. I've been married to David Lytle for
20 years (next week) and have 3 kids: Hannah (17 - will attend
Grinnell college this fall), Joe (15 - will be a sophomore at
Blue Valley North High School), Julia (8 - will be in 3rd grade).
Dia
Cogswell - Newcastle, CA
I have a son, Dustin, born in 1980. He lives in Seattle, WA.
I have lived in, let's see, from Topeka, KS, to Norfolk, VA,
to several cities/towns in Northern and Southern (mostly Northern)
California, to Medford, Oregon, to Sturgis, SD, to end up in
Newcastle, CA, hopefully for good. Married 3 times (#1 brief
- Dustin's dad); #2 married in Hawaii (lasted 5 years); #3 briefly
in 2000 (doesn't count). Currently single and lovin' life in
the Sierra Nevadas. I've been a legal secretary mostly since
graduation, but currently have the good fortune to not have
to work. Focusing on getting a dog daycare and pet therapy/companion
training business together. Also, breeding golden retrievers.
Still doing some macrame, crochet, sewing and beading jewelry.
Water skiing every chance I get; oh yeah, and riding motorcycles
(as a passenger) in these glorious foothills. Getting ready
to start doing some stained glass projects. Spending as much
time outdoors as I can and I have a few fabulous friends who
are positive, wonderful people. I am eager to make contact with
the folks I knew in high school, now that I have some of their
email addresses, and see what has been going on with them.
John
Cobuluis, III -- Topeka, KS

Barb
and I were married in 1988 and have two children. Nick is 16
and will be a junior at Shawnee Heights High School. He is an
Eagle Scout and works at Camp Hammond as a camp counselor during
the summer and also works at Sonic Drive In. Michael is 13 and
will be in the 8th grade at Shawnee Heights Middle School. He
is currently working on his Eagle Scout project. I am a licensed
electrician and work for McElroy's Electric. I still love to
work on cars although most of my free time is spent doing work
around the house and activities with my family. My oldest son
and I are heading to Minnesota the last week of July along with
9 other boys and 5 dads from his Scout Troop for a 9-day boundary
waters canoe trip. Most of my vacations over the past several
years have been spent at various Boy Scout Camps. I am looking
forward to seeing everyone again.
Anne
Craig - Mt. Prospect, IL

Well,
I'd like to say that I'm fabulously rich, fabulously thin, and
fabulously beautiful, but well, I'd be lying. The truth is I
have a wonderful family and a great job that I love. I live
in Mt. Prospect , IL, a Chicago suburb. We moved here 6 years
ago from Oklahoma where we had lived for 10 years. Before that
we lived in Topeka. My husband, Rob, and I will be celebrating
our 25th wedding anniversary this fall. We have two children.
Kathleen, my stepdaughter, is 29 and lives in Oklahoma City
with her husband and daughter. She will be finishing her residency
in pediatrics in July. Our daughter, Emily, is 19. She works
full time as a manager at Borders Books and goes to school part
time. My husband, Rob, works in the wine business in Chicago.
I also enjoy a good glass of wine and am very lucky to have
an expert wine consultant living with me. He knows exactly what
wines I like. I have been a teacher for 26 years teaching grades
4-8. I currently teach 5th grade (my favorite grade) in Park
Ridge, IL, another Chicago suburb. In the summer, I teach a
theater class in our district. I love the Chicago area, especially
exploring local restaurants. We have many favorites in Chicago,
hence the reason I am NOT fabulously thin! . I also enjoy reading
and watercolor, although I haven't had much time to paint lately.
We love to travel and are planning a trip to the Pacific Northwest
this summer. All of our trips include some time in a wine area.
I am really looking forward to seeing everyone in July. I know
it will be a great time.
Karen
Disidore -- Topeka, KS

I've
had a lot happen to me since graduating from high school. I
graduated from Washburn University with a degree in business
and started working part time at M-C Industries in their mailroom
and did filing and odd jobs when I was still in college. After
I graduated from college, they offered me a job as a Sales Assistant
in their division called Polo Plastics. We made custom items
like dust covers, cases, pouches etc., made out of flexible
materials like cordura nylon, pvc, man made leather kevlar and
the corporate office was in Topeka. I worked hard and got promoted
to a Regional Sales Manager and then got another promotion later
as Director of Sales & Marketing. I then got promoted to
a Vice President of the company in 1998, which I was thrilled.
I got engaged in Jan. of 1999 to Ken Teter who is an orthopedic
surgeon and I thought how good my life was. Then on Feb. 9th,
1999 my life changed when my car got hit by an 18 wheeler truck
with a double trailer. The back trailer came unhitched and hit
my car on I-70 in Kansas City. My car was so smashed, I had
to be removed with the jaws of life and was life flighted to
KU Medical Center. I had a brain injury and broke my wrist really
bad and I was in a coma for 5 days. To make a long story short,
I recovered after lots of prayers, a lot of rehabilitation,
and had to quit my job because of my brain injury, which has
changed my life. Ken stayed with me during my recovery and we
got married in Aug. of 2000. We built a new house and have no
children, but do have a dog which is like a child. I am a stay
at home house wife which is a full time job and I do some volunteer
work. I am very happy, in spite of my daily pain, and am very
blessed to be alive.
Ray
Glaze -- Topeka, KS

I'm looking forward to July and hope to see everyone at the
reunion. Brenda and I were married in l980 and have 3 children.
Ray is 25 and graduated from Washburn University with a Security
Administration degree. He married Michelle Ediger last April.
Some of you would remember her dad, Rick Ediger, Washburn Rural
Class of l971. Corey is 21 and currently a junior at K-State
pursuing a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Catherine is 17 and
a junior at Washburn Rural High School and has yet to decide
where she will attend college. Catherine spent 2 summers at
the American Ballet School in New York City, and last summer
at the Washington School of Ballet. Her dream is to pursue her
dancing at the college level and see where it takes her. With
the nest almost empty,
we
purchased a Harley a couple of years ago, and travel at every
available opportunity. I own a small concrete finishing company
which keeps the bills paid, and most importantly, keeps me outdoors,
which I love. Brenda works as a health clerk at Washburn Rural
Middle School. I'm looking so forward to seeing everyone.
John
Graham -- Fredericksburg,
VA
I
won't be able to attend the 30th reunion. I'll be in Topeka
visiting family for most of July, but have to return to Virginia
on the 18th for a prior commitment. This would have been the
first reunion for me, and I would have enjoyed seeing the class.
If some of the people are around and want to do something earlier
my cell number is (540) 809-7511.
Phil
Hamilton -- Topeka, KS

I
hope all is well for you and your family. It'll be great to
get together again this summer ! Weren't we just taking Drivers
Ed. from Mr. Howbert and getting together at Maggie Hilt's house
a couple of days ago ? Hmmmm ? Maybe it's been longer than that.
I met my wife, Patricia, while attending Cloud County Juco in
Concordia in 1978. We'll be celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary
this May. We've lived in Topeka and Lawrence since we were married
and currently have a house on about 9 acres where our closest
neighbors are the deer that come through every couple of days.
She is an attorney with a law firm here in Topeka and does mostly
bankruptcy work. Hopefully, you'll never need her services.
We have 2 kids, Alexis and Jake. Alexis is 22 and will graduate
from the Washburn University Nursing School this coming December.
Jake, 18, is a senior at Washburn Rural High School and was
the president of the Debate team and qualified for the National
Debate Tournament this summer. He will attend KU this fall and
be in their School of Engineering. I have been teaching in the
Washburn Rural school district since 1983. I coached basketball
and tennis for 7 years at WRHS and now teach physical education
and coach at Washburn Rural Middle School. It's amazing to me
how much our "old school" has changed during the past
30 years. I'd like to think they've been good changes but I
guess you'll need to be the judge of that. Hope to see you in
July !!
Rodney
Heinsohn -- Merriam, KS

After
graduation, the Navy took me to Southern California for boot
camp and Hospital Corpsman training. The Marine Corps then took
myself and a few other medics to join them. After completing
combat medical training, I spent the rest of my enlistment with
the Marines in Japan. While living there, I took up scuba diving
and received my International Certification. Returning home,
I attended Washburn University, worked in the family business
and was a fireman/EMT with Mission Township Fire Department.
In 1982, I moved to Kansas City to attend Mortuary School and
started working at McGilley Funeral Homes. I am still with the
same company, only at a different location, Mount Moriah &
Freeman. Got married in 1986 to Elizabeth who is an RN. We have
a 14 year old daughter, Dagny who just got accepted to Kansas
City's best private high school. To keep up on my medical skills
and to pay for all my big game hunting, I have also worked for
11 years with Midwest Transplant Network where I was part of
the surgical team involved in tissue transplantation. Being
active in several wildlife & hunting groups, a teenage daughter
& a big garden take up my free time. I try to go every fall
on a hunting trip to Montana, Wyoming or Alaska for Bear, Caribou,
Elk or Deer. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion
or stop by and raid the garden for some tomatoes (I have 150
plants out so I have plenty to share) or have a glass of the
ever popular wine that everyone keeps talking about.
Diana
Hoobler -- Auburn, KS
I
went to cosmetology school in 1977 and did hair for a couple
of years in a shop in Topeka. I started my nearly 20 year career
in the optical business in 1980 and have worked for several
optometrists and ophthalmologists during that time. Gary and
I married in 1993 and I had twin boys in January 1999. I decided
to take time off from "work" to raise my sons, Dylan
and Ty, now 8 years old. I still haven't found the time to reenter
the workforce, but love my job doing lots of mom stuff!
Tami
Hull -- Iola, KS

30
years, hmmm. I am going to continue to deny that I look like
I have been out of high school that long! Please, no one make
me face reality at the reunion! Divorced for quite awhile now,
I could not be happier with my life and achievements, the greatest
being my children. I have been in senior management at our hospital
for most of the 20+ years of employment. I am currently director
of Diagnostic Imaging and Nutritional Services. I also oversee
compliance activities for hospital regulations, i.e. Medicare
and Joint Commission. Most of my time is spent as Emergency
Management Planner, working with the community leaders to coordinate
planning for potential emergency events. My daughter, Alison
is 23. She graduated from KU this spring and will attend KUMC
in the fall, working towards her masters in health policy and
administration. Alison has done some modeling for Coleman Outdoor
Equipment. Her picture is on the front of boxes for their air
mattresses. Yes, I have spent over $100 buying the boxes! Anyone
need an a
ir
mattress? Will is 21 and attending K-State. At last inquiry,
had not declared a major. (Is Aggieville a major?) At 6’4”
he has towered over me since middle school! Christian is 17
and will be a senior this fall. He has not decided what college
to attend, however, I think he will follow his sister to KU.
We are truly a "House Divided”! Looking forward to
see everyone!
Gary
Jepson -- Lebanon, KS

After
High School I attended Kansas State University and graduated
in 1982 with a dual major in Engineering and Management. During
my Senior year at KSU, I met Kari Aldridge and after a couple
of years of dating we were married in 1984. After graduating
from Kansas State University we moved to Englewood, Co and lived
out there for 5 years. Later I was offered a job in Rockford,
MI; then on Salt Lake City, UT as Vice President of Sourcing
and Purchasing for Weider Nutrition. In 2001 I became a partner
in a small privately held distribution business. As the business
grew we became the majority owners of Pharmore Ingredients located
in Salt Lake City, UT. Pharmore Ingredients sells bulk chemicals
to the Health and Wellness industry as well as the Animal Nutrition
business. Last year we decided we had had enough of the big
city and we moved to Lebanon, KS and now live on a farm. We
have two children, Heath (17) and Samantha (16) who both go
to Smith Center High School. I spend most of my time hunting,
fishing, traveling, flying, woodworking, and working around
the farm. My wife shows and raises Rat Terriers. Right now we
have about 9 adults and 11 pups that keep us hopping. We love
living in the country and having lots of space to roam around.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in July.
Peggy
Knowles -- Alpharetta, GA
Sorry, I will not be able to attend the reunion. I have a family
wedding in Denver that weekend. I hope everyone is well and
has a great time!
Carolyn
Lacy -- Chesterfield, MO

Wow,
has it been 30 yrs. already?! Does not seem that long ago that
I was hiding behind the pole in Mr. Longhoffer's Algebra class
(annex), praying he would not call on me! Surprisingly, I did
not go on to a career in Mathematics. I was however, a Flight
Attendant for T.W.A. from 1986-91. (which should have earned
me an honorary degree in Psychology!) Other than that, I married
the man of my dreams (literally) and am grateful to be a stay-at-home
mom of two son's. Beau who is almost 14 and Ian who is 9 years
old. My life as of the last 15 yrs. has been full of Faith,
Family, Friends, Fox News, and to borrow a quote from Tim Bethel's
bio, "a good glass of wine" now and then. I am truly
looking forward to seeing everyone again, and hope to catch-up
with as many classmates as possible! Can't wait!
Emalie
Livgren -- Holden, MO

I’m
with Carolyn…wow…has it really be 30 years! Time
flies when you’re having fun, right? Well, I can’t
say it has all been fun, but I have been truly blessed. I moved
to Michigan in the middle of our senior year – came back
to graduate with all of you, but chose to go on the senior trip
with the Michigan crew…the Bahamas. I attended a Junior
College for one year before transferring to Central Missouri
State University in Warrensburg. I met my husband, Fred, at
CMSU and we will be celebrating our 27th anniversary next month.
We have two incredible sons.
Caleb
is 16 and Samuel is 10. I have been working at Powell Gardens,
Kansas City’s Botanical Garden, for the past 17 years.
Fred works at the Public Television station at CMSU. We live
in the country and are currently converting our pasture into
a small golf course…it’s a work in progress, but
something to work on together. I find myself with very little
spare time and find it hard to maintain a sane schedule between
family, church, school and work. Of course, being blonde and
WAY over 40 doesn’t help! But, seriously, life is good
and God is gracious. I look forward to seeing everyone in a
couple of weeks.
Matt
McFarland - Topeka, KS

I know this isn't the greatest picture, but I took it myself
with my cell phone while in my car! This is where I spend the
majority of my time these days. I am working for The Topeka
Capital-Journal in a Marketing/Circulation position. My title
is Consumer Sales Executive. My charge is to increase circulation
everywhere except home delivery and online readership. So, I
spend a lot of time visiting with businesses in Topeka and throughout
NE Kansas. I have lived in Topeka since graduating from Geneva
College, Beaver Falls, PA in 1981. Among other things, I have
been Vice President of Policyowner Service for The American
Home Life Insurance Company and President/Owner of Management
Recruiters of Topeka, LLC for several years. I have officiated
high school football for more than 25 years. Most of that time
I worked on a crew that included my Dad and brother, Bill. I
was married for the first time in May of 2000 (at age 40!) and,
unfortunately, was recently divorced. No kids. Anyway, I am
enjoying life in Topeka and look forward to seeing all of you
at the reunion in July!
Roy
McIver -- Carbondale, KS

The
last 30 years went by fast with a lot of changes. After graduation
I went into the Active Air Force from 1977 to 1982. Started
work on a government service contract at the USPS Central Repair
Facility (CRF) in Topeka. We had several companies buying up
smaller ones. I currently am employed by Northrop Grumman. I
have been at the CRF for 25 years this month, current position
as a Test Engineer. I’ve been married to my wife Toni
for 22 years, no kids. I join the Air National Guard in 1986
and retired in 2003, several deployment and operation including
the Middle East in 1990 and 2001. In between time I received
two degrees AS and AAS from ACCC in 1992 and my Bachelor from
FHSU in 2004 with honors. I am currently half way through my
Masters program in Liberal Study in Information and Telecommunication
from FHSU and planning for my early retirement.
Cheri
Messer -- Whitefish Bay, WI

Hey
1977 Grads, I have to agree with Tim Bethel and Rick Binkley…Life
is Good! But, OMG where did the time go? This is my 30 year
timeline. I married Patrick Peery in 1980. We just celebrated
our 27th Anniversary on June 14th. I graduated from KU in 1984
with a degree in Education. I taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd
and 3rd grade for 11 years before retiring my finger paints
and playground whistle. My husband’s career has taken
us from Lawrence, KS, to Rogers, AR and finally to the beautiful
(though frigid) shores of Lake Michigan in Whitefish Bay, WI
where we have lived now for 13 years. My daughter and I love
to ride the train to Chicago, 90 minutes away, to go to the
theater and partake in retail therapy on Michigan Ave. I have
two awesome children. Sam, 20, will be a junior at Indiana University
studying Business. We tried hard to make a Jayhawk out of him,
but his mind was set on being a Hoosier. Anna, 16, (my partner
in retail gratification) will be a sophomore at Whitefish Bay
High School. She is training to be a camp counselor at Camp
Minikani, her second home. My life has been good! My family
enjoys traveling together whether it’s Spain, Mexico,
UK, or Topeka, Kansas visiting grandparents, aunts, uncles and
cousins. Our next big trip is to Cape Town, South Africa! I,
too, like a nice glass of wine and I look forward to the pleasure
of sharing that with “old” friends…See you
at the Reunion!
Kristi
Myer -- Topeka, KS
A
lot can happen in 30 years, I am sorry that I will not be able
to attend the reunion this year, but I have enjoyed reading
all the paragraphs that everyone has sent in. This is some of
the highlights of what I have done over the last 30 years. After
high school, I worked for Hawley Printing Company in the main
office for a few years. I have lived in Las Vegas, NV and then
moved on to Colorado Springs, CO where my husband Mike Reed
and I were married. We will be celebrating our 28th anniversary
this year. We have one daughter Sondra and two grandsons Lazrua’
8 yrs old, and Rayden 4 mo’s old. While we lived in Colorado,
I worked for a Newspaper Circulation Dept. Office, which was
helpful in obtaining a job with the Topeka Capital Journal when
we moved back to Topeka. For the last 18 years, I have been
employed with the City of Topeka. I started working for the
Parks & Recreation Dept. as Purchase Order Specialist and
a short time in the City Clerk’s Office. Our fellow classmate
Deana Mahomes (De De) happened to be my first Supervisor when
I started with the Parks & Recreation Dept., she now lives
in Atlanta, GA. We still keep in contact by email. My husband
worked for Santa Fe and Kansas Gas Service Company which he
recently retired from. Through the years we have loved to travel
and have taken several cruises! I hope everyone has a wonderful
time!

Peterson - Topeka, KS

After
graduation I attended 2 years at KAVTS and received a certificate
in graphic arts. I also attended classes for CNA and CMA. Worked
for Presbyterian Manor and United Methodist Home. From 1978-1986.
In 1987 I started with Auburn Washburn School District running
the Printing dept at the Central Office, I worked there for
AW a little over 9 years. In January of 1997 I started at St.
Francis Heath Center. I am over the Printing and Duplicating
department. Love my job. In 1978 I met and married the love
of my life, we will celebrate 28 years in July. My husband Richard
has worked for FedEx 23 years and if things go as planned will
retire in 2 years. He also works part time for Shawnee County
Golf Courses. At Forbes Golf Course. We both play golf in our
spare time and enjoy the outdoors and traveling. We have 2 wonderful
children. James and Ashleigh both graduated from WRHS. James
is 27 and is GM for Chipotle restaurants and is expecting their
first child in September. Can't wait to hear the words grandma
and grandpa. Ashleigh is 20 and attends KU where she will be
a junior next year. Her major in speech, language and hearing
/ psychology. She wIll work for Shawnee County Park and Rec
this summer and has dated the same young man since her freshman
year in HS. I am hoping there are not any plans for a wedding
anytime soon. We built a house 12 years ago. Golf course in
the back yard. Richard's dream came true. I won't be able to
attend the reunion this July. My nephew is going to be here
from California. His dad. (my brother) has terminal cancer so
we are going to spend as much time together as we can. If things
change maybe I can attend. Have
a great time. God Bless Ya all.
Trent
Peterson - Houston, TX

I
was reading Carolyn’s bio and had to laugh, because I
was in that same Algebra class and can remember her hiding behind
the pole (and it worked) so I tried to find some place to hide
too! I graduated from K-State in 1982 and moved straight to
Houston and where I went to work for a Mechanical Engineering
firm for 12 years. Since then I’ve been in sales as a
Manufacturers Representative for Commercial / Industrial Heating
and Air Conditioning equipment. I met my wife Mary at KSU and
before we had Sarah, we traveled more and had time for our own
hobbies and interests like golfing, fishing, etc. Sarah is 10
years old and has been a true joy for us! Now our hobbies include
buying Webkinz, the “pink” Nintendo DS and a bike,
etc. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone!
Diane
Rannebeck -- St. Marys, KS
After
graduation, Richard and I lived in Auburn, Salina and Maple
Hill. We have three children and four grandchildren. In February
1997, Richard passed away. I work for USD 321 in St. Marys,
KS.
Jodie
Renyer -- Kingman, KS

How
do you put the last 30 years in one paragraph? Well, I guess
that is what Class Reunions are for. I, too, am really looking
forward to this reunion. I am living in Kingman Kansas which
is about 40 miles west of Wichita. I moved to Wichita in 1983
and really like this area. I have been married to Chad for 12
years. He is the Kingman High School Government teacher. I have
3 children, David 20, Mary 17 and Alexandra 7. My youngest was
our little surprise born only 2 weeks prior to me turning 40!
They are all the joy of my life. David has just recently enlisted
for active duty in the Navy. Mary will be a senior at Cheney
High School next year and is planning on going to Friends University
in Wichita and majoring in Vocal Music Education/Performance.
I have spent the last 24 years working for various financial
firms, UBS/Paine Webber (3 yrs), EF Hutton/ Smith Barney (20
years) and am now with Oppenheimer. I fill my spare time (Ha!)
with being a church high school youth group sponsor, the fund
raising sponsor for the annual high school DC trip, Tap Dancing!,
Church choir, Community Band, and volunteer for many other community
functions. I keep telling myself one of these days I should
slow down. I look forward to seeing all of you at the reunion.
We have so much catching up to do!

Lou Rosselot -- Topeka, KS

I
have done so much since high school – after thinking about
it, I just want to take a nap! Seriously, I graduated from KU’s
School of Journalism. I graduated from Washburn University School
of Law. After a 10-year stint as a litigation attorney I changed
careers and am currently a financial planner specializing in
retirement planning. I am self-employed and my broker dealer
is OFG Financial Services, Inc. in Topeka. I still practice
law, but am more selective on the types of cases I take. I have
been married for 22 years to Michael Allen. We do not have any
children. Mike is retired from the advertising business and
concentrates full time on his artwork. We spend our free time
sailing, traveling and riding our motorcycle. We have always
had pets – but now we are down to two dogs. Harley is
our chocolate lab and he is a true retriever. Sadie is our half-breed
and she is a thief – just ask Harley. I tried to talk
my way out of being on the the reunion committee but I was told
I was the most trustworthy person to handle the checkbook –
I am sure they meant the most trustworthy one on the committee
... but that's not saying much! I was suspicious when our first
meeting was at a bar and the next day I had an ashtray and menus
from the bar in my bag. Also, someone took pictures in the restroom
of some of the other committee members. That should have been
a hint that I may be in over my head! I assure you that we have
a great reunion planned and I look forward to seeing ya all!

Hi
all, it's me. As you can see from my picture, I've really gone
to the dogs over the past 30 years. We have had many wonderful
companions over time and currently a collie princess and a blind
maltese, her pea. We're into high maintenance/special needs
dogs here in Nevada. My husband Duayne and I just celebrated
25 years married and are still having lots of fun. I've been
a legal secretary for over 27 years now and been with the same
firm for the past 21 years. Can't wait to see everyone at the
reunion. This should be fun!

Stewart - Topeka, KS

I married my best friend, Terry Stearman on June 10, 1978. I
graduated from Barber School in 1979 and worked at doing hair
until the birth of our daughter, Amy in 1981. Our son, Tanner
was born in 1983. I enjoyed being a stay at home mom for several
years, and later went back to work in my husband's salon, Touch
of Class Hair Studio. We were given an opportunity to buy Professional
Products Barber/ Beauty Supply in 1997. I quit doing hair to
run the business, which is located in the Potwin area. Our daughter
was married this past Labor Day to John Blosser, who is a lineman
with Kaw Valley Electric. Amy will graduate with her Master's
Degree from Washburn University in May. Tanner is also here
in Topeka and works for the City of Topeka at the Water Dept.
We bought our first Harley in 2002 and riding is a big part
of our lives. Our kids both have Harleys as well, so it has
become a family affair. We look forward to riding and taking
trips any chance we get. Touch of Class was relocated to the
Harley Davidson grounds at 21st and Topeka a couple of years
ago, so it is great to be involved with the happenings and people
down there. We have recently received a business offer that
we don't feel we can refuse. Our Professional Products building
is being bought by an Investment Brokerage Company, and I am
going to work for them. So, we have a lot of changes ahead,
but we feel that it is an answer to prayer and are very excited
for what God has ahead for us. I have been very blessed the
past 30 years and I am looking forward to the opportunities
ahead.

Wow,
30 years! It's hard to believe it's been that long. After graduation,
I attended Clark School of Business and worked part-time at
Sears doing clerical work. After completion of school, I worked
full-time at Sears. In February 1980, I started working for
the State of Kansas where I am still currently employed after
27 years as a office assistant and have worked in the VFW office
for the past 14 years at the VA Hospital where we file disability
claims for veterans. In March 1991, I had my son, Raymond. He
will be a sophomore at Osage City High School this coming school
year. We moved from Topeka to Osage City in September 2003 and
love the quietness of small town living. Hope to see you all
soon.

Vincent -- Lenexa, KS
The
first 15 years out of high school were focused on my education
and career. The last 15 years have been centered around my family,
which includes 3 children, ages 13, 11 and 9. We reside in Lenexa
Kansas, where I work part-time as a physical therapist and play
the role of mom the remainder of the time. My spouse, Steve,
is employed as the General Manager for East Kansas Agri Energy,
an ethanol producer in Garnett Kansas. l'm looking forward to
visiting with everyone ... it's been a long time but still have
great memories.
