What are you doing at 7:45 pm on Thursday evening?  A group of men at St. Philip meets regularly to talk about our lives as Catholics living in the world today.

We recently read a short description of Miguel and Maria* and a decision that they were trying to make:  whether Miguel should take another job and move the family to a different city.  We compared notes on our own decision making.  We read from scripture and from the Catholic Catechism and discussed how we all can all improve our prayer lives.

And we just talked about what is going on in our lives.  Which is what we seem to do best – that is why it can take several meetings to cover just one chapter!

Feel free to join us.  The group has “regulars” and “drop-ins” and conversation is always lively.

If Thursday evening does not work for you, please let us know and maybe interest in meeting at another time would be shared by other men, as well.

So think about joining us at our next meeting.   And bring a friend.

* The story was from Signposts – How to Be a Catholic Man in the World Today by Bill Bawden and Tim Sullivan.  We use the book as a “conversation starter” for our meetings.  This book is used by men’s groups in parishes all over the United States.
