IBS Response to Editorial

Hello Mark,

Let me begin by saying how much I appreciate your commitment to the sanctity and inspiration of God's Word. I too believe it must be doggedly defended.

However, please allow IBS to clarify some gross misinformation that has already been propagated throughout the media. IBS, in no uncertain terms, has NOT produced a "gender neutral" Bible. Today IBS announced the release of its latest English text, Today's New International Version (TNIV). We believe the text is the MOST ACCURATE text the Committee on Bible Translation has ever produced. Its treatment of gender has already been grossly misrepresented by the Associated Press, and has been picked up by multiple media outlets.

I implore you in the name of the Lord, to find out all the facts before you take action that could be damaging to IBS and the Church as a whole. Furthermore, if the website does not answer all of your questions, please contact me immediately for additional information. We cannot allow a few misguided reports to form the decisions we make regarding our service to the Lord and His Kingdom.
