Editor's Analysis - Past Survey Results - Survey 1

Of the Christians who answered our very first survey, we noticed a few disturbing results:

31% of the Christians responding to the survey answered "No" to the following question: "Do you believe that Jesus is the only way to God/Heaven?" while they answered "Yes" to "Do you believe that the Bible is God's word?"

This was not a trick question, Jesus clearly says "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6) From the responses to the survey, it sounds as if the New Age religion's heretical teaching of Relativism has permeated Christ's Church like a plague!

Perhaps the survey answers we received are a result of the fact that many on the Internet are from educational institutions where Relativism is taught. Christians and nonChristians alike must come to the realization that Jesus is the ONLY way to God. Even those who are "without excuse" (see Romans 1:20) - who may not have heard the Good News - will have to go through Jesus to get to heaven.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, in everything we do we must FIRST and FOREMOST preserve our faith. Guard it like you would precious china or gems. You wouldn't learn to juggle with your most precious possession while standing on the edge of a cliff, would you? Likewise, don't allow your faith to be compromised by every popular idea that comes along. Don't try to juggle these worldly ideas with your faith because it could be your faith that slips through your fingers, to be shattered on the rocks below...

Even if ALL fall away, YOU must stand firm! We must all "Put on the full armor of God" so that we can take our stand against "the devil's schemes." (Eph. 6:11) As one of the survey respondents, who does not think that there is only one way to God, put it when asked for her favorite Bible verse; "Most people don't memorize them." It is the Bible that keeps us from false teaching! Remember the "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand." (Eph. 6:12-13 also read Eph. 6:14-18)
