I wish I had a dollar for each time the WWCW has received an e-mail message that contains something like the following: "I don't believe in god. Never have and never will. The only way for you to be saved is to dump that idiot god-bible tripe. God is nothing but a dream, the bible nothing but a book..." Christians are often perceived as superstitious and unintelligent, driven by blind faith. This is partly the fault of Christians who accuse any sort of intellectual pursuit as being somehow inspired by the Devil. Such anti-science bias is contrary to Christianity. What could be more rewarding than the study of God's creation? How much better would we understand our Creator after studying not only his words but also what he has made? The Bible says: "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." (Romans 1:20) What this verse is saying is that God's qualities can be discovered in the study of his creation. In fact, the evidence of God's existence is so compelling when one looks at the creation that people who do not believe have no excuse, even if they have never heard the Gospel message or read the Bible. That doesn't give Christians the right to keep the message to themselves though. The Bible also says: "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience" (1 Peter 3:15-16a) Here Christians are told to give an answer to those ask. What better way to answer those who ask than to use the compelling evidence God has given to EVERYONE through his creation? The evidence for the existence of God and the accuracy of the Bible is not only compelling but it is overwhelming. A few links to consider along these lines are:
If you are not a Christian, I encourage you to look at the evidence. If you do so with an open mind, you will never be the same again. Peace to you,
