Murder and the Constitution of the United States of America By a close margin, the highest court in the United States of America recently upheld the "right" to kill babies through a procedure called "partial-birth abortion," equating it with a constitutional right. This decision was in response to a State law that banned any procedure that causes the death of a living infant when that infant is born or partially delivered. What planet am I on? Are there really people out there who believe is it ever permissible to kill a child? Evidentially so. In fact, there are some so bent on such heinous acts that they would forgo their sworn duty to interpret the constitution in order to further a political agenda. The babies killed during partial-birth abortion could survive outside the womb and should be protected by the constitution and by common moral sense. These babies are executed a mere 4 to 5 inches short of a completed birth. And despite the propaganda, this procedure is never the last resort to save a woman's life. In partial-birth abortion, the child is delivered feet first, his or her head coming last. As he is kicking and squirming (if he hasn't been drugged) with his head still inside his mother, the "doctor" thrusts a steel instrument into the child's skull until the child stops moving. What a cowardly and sick act! Why does this "doctor" not just pull the baby out and face him or her while he commits this murderous act? There should be a law against such moral crimes. Now with the recent Supreme Court's ruling, such a law is automatically deemed "unconstitutional." It is scary that there are people out there who would disagree and condone such horrendous acts. No one who has a child of their own could possibly condone it in their heart. If they think so, I invite them to think back to the delivery room and imagine the doctor performing the delivery is holding a sharp instrument. As your child starts to be born... (you can imagine the rest). If you are a parent, do you remember the wonderful sound of your child's cry? Now imagine a doctor standing over your dead infant's body with a bloody instrument in his hand and a grin on his face, knowing he has the full approval and legal backing of the Supreme Court of the United States of America. I hate to be so blunt but is there anything in this world as sick as partial-birth abortion? As many of you who visit the WWCW regularly know, I seldom delve into politics. This is not a political, or even a religious, issue. This is an issue more on par with the abolitionist and civil rights movements of the past. The practice of partial-birth abortion is every bit as horrible as the slaughter of millions of Jews in Nazi concentration camps during World War II. Now is the time to keep history from repeating itself. Will good people once again say nothing? Contact your congressperson (Senators or Representative) and demand the immediate impeachment of Supreme Court Justices: Stephen Breyer, John Paul Stevens, Sandra Day O'Connor, David H. Souter and Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
