Why is Christianity Correct? It's pretty easy to show, using logic and common sense, that some sort of cause is responsible for the universe. This case is hardly arguable since the Big Bang was discovered. The discovery of a beginning for the universe was nothing short of shocking to those who thought science would "save" people from what they assumed was the superstition called "Christianity." While some assumed the final nail in the lid of the coffin of Christianity was poised to be driven home, it was discovered that the universe actually had a beginning. Albert Einstein was displeased. Arthur Eddington said, "the notion of a beginning is repugnant to me..." because a beginning implies a cause for that beginning. The order and fine-tuning in the universe implies a personal, intelligent beginner of the universe. That idea was repugnant because overnight the coffin set out for Christianity not only had no lid, there was no longer a coffin. The Bible proved correct about something so basic as the very beginning of the universe, though written thousands of years ago. Scientists climbed a mountain of knowledge over the last two millennium only to find a Bible on the summit. Some might claim that though there is a cause for the universe, there is no way that cause is the God of the Bible. So how can we find out if the cause of the universe is the God of the Bible? The causer of the universe could be:
By looking at the fine-tuning of the universe and thinking about the creation of the universe, the causer of the universe must have the following attributes:
Of all the religions in the world, these qualities, discovered independently of any religious study, only match the God of the Bible.(1) Some would claim that you have to be pretty arrogant to say your religion is the only correct one. Perhaps - unless such a claim was really true. No one says to a mathematician, "You are arrogant because you claim 1+1 = 2 is true even though some people think 1 + 1 = 3." The truth matters. If the exclusive claims of the Bible are true, which I have shown here and in the links herein, then what the Bible says to you, personally, becomes very important. The Bible tells all of us, we have sinned, which means we have made mistakes. We have hurt others. We have done things against our conscience and against what we know deep-down is right. We have been angry. We have even sinned against the creator of the universe. Because God is perfect and must see justice done, the sins we have committed must be punished. Just as in our society, wrongdoing must be punished if justice is to prevail. Because God is perfectly loving, he came to earth and, once and for all, took the punishment we deserve for our sin. He took our place. It would be like a judge, after sentencing a guilty person because justice demands it, rising from the bench and submitting himself to the guard to serve the sentence of the guilty person. That is what God did through his son Jesus. God is perfectly Just and perfectly Loving. He created the entire universe yet cares for each one of us. So how do we accept what God did for each of us so we do not have to serve our sentence? After all, we are all guilty. No person is perfect. We need only ask and believe. Just say something like the following to God (there are no magic words and God can hear you no matter where you are):
"God I've blown it. I've sinned and I'm sorry. I accept your son's sacrifice on the cross for my sins and I accept him, Jesus, as Lord of my life and my living Savior who rose from the dead. I believe it when you say all I have to do to be saved and have my sins forgiven is ask. I ask now. Please help me live my life for you and please send your Spirit into my heart to help me do so. Thank you. I ask this in your son, Jesus' name." If you've sincerely prayed the above prayer, please E-Mail the World Wide Christian Web and let us know if you need a Bible or need to get connected with a church where you can complete your commitment through water baptism. If you sincerely prayed the above prayer, I'd like to be the first to say "congratulations," you are now set aside as one of God's own, for eternity. If you are not ready to pray the above prayer, ask God to help you in your search for him. It is a worthwhile search that will have eternal consequences. It is definitely worth the time it will take you to look into this further. You owe it to yourself to look into it. You have everything to gain.
