Just Show The Pictures

I purpose a solution to the abortion debate: just show the pictures. Those of us who believe abortion is a horrible crime perpetrated against all humanity will not say one more word about abortion if those who perform abortions show each and every woman what their unborn child looks like in the womb before performing an abortion and if schools and the news media show the public what an unborn child looks like at each stage of development. I am not talking about showing ultrasound images. I'm talking about showing pictures of actual aborted or stillborn children at each stage of development.

Those of you who believe in abortion better not agree to this too soon because you maybe be one of the millions who have been deceived. Deceived by abortion doctors and organizations that promote abortion. They know what the unborn child looks like at each stage of development but they would never agree to show you.

I was in a discussion on the Internet with an abortion advocate. I asked her pointedly if she knew what a 14 week old unborn child looks like in the womb. She claimed the child doesn't look like anything, just a blob of tissue. This was an adult female who was arguing in favor of abortion! Perhaps she even had an abortion in the past. How could she be so ignorant? Let me explain:

About six years ago my wife was pregnant. Imagine our joy! After 8 years of trying she was finally pregnant. As the child passed the 12 week mark we started to feel more confident that he or she would be joining our family before we knew it. It was a wonderful time, buying baby clothes, picking out names and getting the nursery ready. This child was already loved and we often spoke to him through my wife's growing belly. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be. There were complications and my wife started going into contractions and hemorrhaging at 14 weeks. I delivered the child in our bathroom. I was shocked and devastated by what I saw. You see, I was fooled by the media and pro-abortion organizations. I was expecting a blob of tissue. But what I saw was completely different. The child had perfectly distinguishable arms, legs, head, body, fingers, toes, a face, a nose, eyes and the beginning of ears! We could even tell the child was a boy! This looked almost identical to a newborn -- at only 14 weeks (we were very sure of the age). My wife survived the ordeal but we've seen the "pictures." We know what's being hidden from the general public and the women who come in for abortions.

So this is my offer to the pro-abortion side: just show the pictures. You claim to be "pro choice" but you hold back the means to make an informed choice. What are you trying to hide?
