Bush is Back... Liberalism Won't Be

After the recent victory of President George W. Bush in the U. S. Presidential Election, the popular media are left scratching their heads. They have been spending countless hours attempting to understand what happened. Why did so many people vote for President Bush? Was it because of an increase in "Right Wing" Evangelical voters? Was it a poorly run campaign by Senator Kerry? Was it a personality issue? Was it due to the existence of Gay Marriage on the ballet in key states? Was it a matter of Republicans getting out their base more substantially than Democrats? Was it the moral values of each candidate? None of these things are the main reason Bush won, in my opinion.

I believe the Democrats were overwhelmingly defeated, not just in the presidential race but even more so in the senatorial races, because they moved to the far-left nationally. Bill Clinton ran as a moderate, moving to the middle and even to the right, allowing him to win the presidency. John Kerry did not move to the middle. He stayed where he has always been -- to the political left. Not only did he embrace Senator Kennedy, who is also left of center, he climbed into bed with the far-left, in Hollywood and elsewhere. This is the same far-left that proudly held hate rallies against the President, accusing him of heinous things and screaming about how much they hated him. Instead of keeping their hate and vitriol inside, they let it all out, publicly and with the apparent support of John Kerry. They railed against the President, insulting the office of the President and most Americans in the process. The far-left showed Americans what they were made of and John Kerry did not distance himself from this. In fact, John Kerry added to the lies and vitriol coming from the far-left -- and the American people were watching.

I believe the majority of the American people woke up on election day and rejected the hate and vitriol that the far-left represents (see the editorial Hate From the Generation of Peace and Love). The majority of the American people could not imagine being run by people who so easily hate, so easily lie and so easily talk in disparaging terms when it comes to Christianity. Such people could destroy everything America has stood for and could very well destroy America. Americans have not forgotten that many in the far-left camp seem to hate America itself. Should they be put in charge of America if they hate it so? Taking this idea to further, with the far-left in charge, would Christians be able to worship as they choose? Would Christians be able to keep their children safe from damaging far-left indoctrination in public schools? Would churches be forced to hire people who are against the very core beliefs of that church? The far-left crowd are extremely dangerous in the minds of many Americans and those running in concert with the far-left will never win the top spot in the greatest country in the world.

Historically, when the agenda of the far-left is put to a popular vote in the U. S., they fail every time. Only through liberal judges can any laws at all be twisted in favor of this agenda. I believe this most recent presidential election has cemented the fact that the far-left is done in America. Those of the far-left that threatened to leave the U. S. if Bush won (more proof they don't like America) are well advised to go, as fast as they can. America is great because of its people and its peoples' willingness to uphold that which has made America great for over two centuries.
