"Ultra-Right" Means “Ultra-Correct"? “Radical, ultra-right conservative" is how you will be described if you believe in one thing over all others: Jesus is the only way to salvation. There's another word that describes you: “Christian." If you do not believe Jesus is the only way to salvation, you are not a Christian. Jesus said of himself: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (2 John 14, NIV) “Christian" means “follower of Christ." If Jesus said of himself that he is the only way, how could his followers say any different? Those who claim there are many ways to salvation cannot also call themselves Christians. Some Christians seem so concerned about being accepted by the world that they water down the message that can lead all people who accept it to salvation. They condemn others to hell for their own popularity. The reality is if they don't claim Jesus is the only way, they are claiming Jesus' great sacrifice on the cross was not necessary – that Jesus died for nothing. This is a clear rejection of the claims of Jesus himself and of God, his father. So those who claim Jesus is not the only way, will not find the way themselves. This is not mean or exclusionary in the bad sense of the word; this is the truth as stated by Jesus himself. What happens then to “good people"? Jesus answers that question as well:
The Bible also says:
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," (Rom 3:23, NIV)
So no one is good enough to get to heaven on his own, without Jesus. What about those who have not heard about God? The Bible answers this question: So the nature of God is plain to all, none have any excuse for not accepting Him and if you're reading this, you definitely cannot claim ignorance. So what is one to do? How does one get to heaven through Jesus? One would accept Jesus for who he actually is and for what he did. There are many ways you can take in life but only one way will lead to heaven. Even if you don't like it, that doesn't mean it's not true. Our liking something doesn't affect the truthfulness of that thing. -ed
