Partial Birth Abortion Banned in the United States of America

Abortion is a barbaric practice. The type of abortion called “Partial Birth Abortion” is barbarism amplified. Perhaps it is understating the issue to call Partial Birth Abortion “barbarism.” It should be called pure evil. This definition of evil can be agreed upon by those of all religions and even by the non-religious. The Supreme Court of the United States of America recently upheld a measure that outlawed the evil practice of Partial Birth Abortion to the chagrin of some, as unbelievable as that would seem.

For those who don’t know what it is, Partial Birth Abortion will be briefly described. If you’ve just eaten or have a weak stomach, please skip to the next paragraph. Partial Birth Abortion is the practice of inducing labor and delivering the baby, usually feet first, past the baby’s naval. While the baby’s head is still inside the birth canal, a sharp instrument is thrust into the baby’s brain, killing him or her. The delivery is then completed. So instead of completing the delivery of a live baby, the baby is murdered seconds before the delivery is complete. This is a sick and twisted practice that is not performed because of a concern for the mother’s health during the delivery. This practice has now been abolished.

Unbelievable as it seems, some are not happy that the practice of Partial Birth Abortion has been abolished. Some of those who are not happy are running for President of the United States of America in 2008. In the opinion of this editor, any person that supports such a barbaric practice should not only be rejected for public office but should not be entrusted with the care of children in general. Anyone with such disregard for the life of the most innocent among us should be considered a danger to society, in my opinion. What is “society” if it isn’t best represented by the most innocent of children?

Was there ever any question that Partial Birth Abortion is anything but pure evil? The barbaric practice of other types of abortion are not much better and should go the way of Partial Birth Abortion. But that's a topic for another day. Stay tuned.

* Tomatoes have no arms, hands, legs or feet. Tomatoes cannot move on their own, they cannot see, hear music or think. Tomatoes are perhaps a good subject for children’s shows or B-movie comedies but that’s about it. Of course, children’s shows don’t make claims that, in reality, tomatoes are more than just a fruit (or vegetable depending on which side of that issue you fall on).
